Forest fans seem to think they should win it because they were European Champions a few years later, ignoring that they were nothing special when they were actually in this league!

I let Sunderland be 2nd since they were only 1pt worse than us.

Yep that’s justified but I’m just not bothered about anyone else.

Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool can fcuk off because they were too flight clubs who'd oxf*rd up, Wolves and Fulham can fcuk off because that were bankrolled to fcuk. Forest can fcuk off because they didn't even finish in the top 2 and Leeds can fcuk off because they are Leeds.

So that leaves a top 3 of Reading Leicester and Sunderland.

Should be us as we were a team of lower league players, academy rejects and journeymen who absolutely tore the League a new arsehole.

Yeah did it yesterday, Suspect the dimwit fans voted for the bigger clubs but as the article says, the stats don't lie. We eclipsed nearly all the stats in the book so its blindingly obvious we are better than the rest of them. 8th the following season as well, against the moneybag clubs....

I'm surprised the Middlesboro side of the mid 70's isn't on that list; won the league by 16 points when it was 2 points for a win

Me too.

However, if they give each position a weighted score anyone voting tactically would be wise to put the team less likely to win the poll second so that the likes of Sunderland don't win based on having more 2nd places points, for example.

Also it's difficult to vote a team top when it's so long ago you were not around to see them.

Working in the basis that no neutrals will care and people will blindly vote for their own team I obviously put us first then ranked the rest roughly on size of support (smallest 2nd etc)

The inclusion of Forest is farcical. They weren't even the best team in the league that season and what they did subsequently is irrelevant to the 2nd tier.

I'm a bit puzzled. That's a BBC article and there's no Manchester United option. Are the BBC trying to pretend that they never got relegated?

Also surprised they haven’t included Arsenal’s incredible run to 5th place in 1915 seeing as they have Forest’s amazing 3rd place finish in 1976.
