Think we’d have to buy players or change formations to suit him...we don’t have that luxury. Sometimes a good player just doesn’t fit in & it’s best to cut ties

Finally a measured argument. It's been a tough first season for him, but he's reached double figures and was getting into his stride. Break came at a terrible time for him. He deserves a proper crack at it next season; his better moments have shown what he's capable of.

Think it would end up being £8m depending on add ons, the initial payment was much lower apparently. Probably looking at around £3m so it's probably better to cut our losses now rather than paying out anymore money for him.
