Snowflake RoyalURZZZZSnowflake Royal Wondering if we could see something like this for the last couple of games maybe...
.........................Cabral
Araruna, Morrison, Osho, Richards
................Rinomhota, East
Nevers, ............Olise,........ Baldock
..........................Meite
Subs: CBC, McIntyre, Gunter, Swift, Ejaria, Puscas, Masika
See Osho at CB and we know Meite wants to play 9 so give it another go. Bit more of a look at Araruna. Experience in Baldock and Morro. See how Olise does as the main creative outlet and have a second look at East. Not sure about Nevers - don't know where he prefers to play and if sub appearances might be more appropriate.
By that time we should be well safe and McIntyre will hopefully have had a solid run of a few games. Can't see us being in with a shout of the POs still. So perfect opportunity to say go and prove your worth, convince me you can play a full part and stop me needing to make a few signings.
East won’t make it here IMO, reminds me of a Jake Taylor type of player, league 2 level
Shift Araruna into CM, Osho to RB and McIntyre into CB. Or use a back three with Osho, McIntyre and Morrison instead
Also add a couple more onto the bench, 9 players there instead of 7
That does seem likely with East, but I don't think we lose anything having a look in a couple of nothing games.
Having seen Araruna at CM and RB, there's no way I'd play him in midfield.
Osho doesn't look anything like a RB to me from his last start either and he's traditionally been a CB from what I've seen. I'd be more I interested in him as 4thor 5th choice CB, but haven't really rated him anywhere.
As for McIntyre, to respond to Nameless's comment, I fully expect him to have proved his worth over the next couple of appearances and earlier in the season to already firmly be in the first team plans as a first or second choice CB, so no need to experiment with him.

From Despair To Where? As I said in another thread, I'd happily trade Moore for Pele.
I think we need CB cover but we definitely need a decent DM to give us shape in midfield. It's the one position I'd go all out to recruit a starter in.
I'd be happy with a DM, 3 or 4 loans for depth, particularly in defence and then using the academy.

Why not play Osho and McIntyre and centre back and rest Morrison? If Moore leaves we need to see if both of them can step up. I think they both can.
Give Araruna a chance at right back to see if he can understudy Yiadom.
We need to have a season where we don’t end up bringing in another 9 or 10 players. So give Masika and Boye starts too. Let’s see what they can do. A bit early for Nevers though I feel.

I think it's better to have someone experienced next to a young CB to help them through the game if you've got 2 with minimal experience and it goes badly it could just be the combination rather than the individuals. Less likely to be a problem with an old hand in there too.
Rino's played enough games to do that to some extent for East and Olise IMO, otherwise I'd have stuck Swift or someone more experienced in.

Sure but does it really matter? We are safe. The ground will be empty. A very good time to try some things out.

Nameless AGree with Snowflake that if you play youngsters you have to do it sensibly. It’s not fair on them to put a team out that is disjointed, not played together much or has players out of position.
Playing Osho and McIntyre together in the centre just makes no sense. There is nothing to learn.
Stuff has to be done for a reason, not just to say ‘we gave x a chance’.

NewCorkSeth Howe wanted out though right? Can we stop pretending he would have been fine as number 2? Or even ready??

Snowflake Royal Is anyone else struggling with the point of Araruna btw?
Defensive midfielder who can play RB. Signed when we released one of our young back up RBs.
Has had very few minutes, split between RB and CM. Looked lost in midfield to me and handy at RB. We're now apparently converting a young CB to RB.
It doesn't exactly speak to a clear planned transfer and squad strategy.
Hopefully we'll see some more of him before season end and he won't just prove to be another Gravenberch, pointlessly bloating the squad.

I don’t see why playing Osho and McIntyre together at this stage of the season is such a problem. They may be two of our four centre backs next season. It would take an injury and suspension of other centre backs for them to be alongside each other. Bowen can use these next five games to experiment. Perhaps put two experienced full backs alongside them to give them support.

I certainly heard that there was a bit more to the move than we just decided he wasn’t good enough. My source isn’t good enough to say more, and there was nothing untoward involved.
