Fcuk off. Defence has no shielding from midfield. Making the same mistake over again.

Dreadful defending again

Been very much second best tonight. Brentford are superbly coached and organised and look a different level

Any chance we might look for a new manager in the summer?

I wouldn't have any complaints if we do.

Also need a new spine of the team. This team is soft as shit.

Hound Need to be to the end of the season, lose 10 players, tear up the wage bill and let Bowen start afresh with a couple of good signings

Let’s be honest, top 10 next season would be a great achievement
Year on year, repeat to fade

I can’t see top ten Houndy. Another battle at the wrong end of the table I fear.

Do you trust Bowen with a new team? I think Bowen has shown himself up to be a clueless manager to be honest.

While I'd like a bit of stability I would not be against us looking for a new manager at the end of the season.

But he wasn't initially, he got it spot on so I think there is something there with him. The players simply couldn't care less because they feel the season is over. The players who don't care need to go before the manager.

Pretty sure Bowen must still have the best PPG of our last few managers.
You have to ask- can Reading attract a better manager? The answer is almost certainly not.
Bowen has definitely shown enough to deserve another season. I'm more concerned about who's above him. Our transfer business, even since Gourlay left, has been poor.

No urgency to close down the Brentford player he gets a good long shot off and wins a corner.

It's so frustrating. We're a decent side away from home. For the first time in a long time we look capable of getting a result away anywhere. But at home we are poor, negative and without Joao we are such a poor team. Since Joao has been injured we'll have just 1 win in 11 in all competitions at home. Not good enough.

We've been dire at home for 3 years now. In the league we've won something like 20 from 67 at home since we beat Fulham in the playoffs. That's an absolutely pathetic record.

Judilson Gomes is missed just as much as Joao. We either can't play him because he isn't fit, won't play him because he may not be here tomorrow let alone next season and we want to play people who will be here next season, or a mixture of both.

Whatever the reason we are really missing his presence in front of the defence.

Keep changing manager, not much changes. This is the summer to clear out some of those players we have been so far desperate to keep and move on from there.

This is fcuking incompetent.

The subs have done nothing. Apart fromAdam kicking the ball away to waste some time.

The trouble is you cannot guarantee who will come in will be any better.
We cannot keep sacking the manager. It isn’t working.
Bowen needs to get nasty. This is a really lazy performance. How many times have we seen a Reading player on the ball being crowded out of the ball or have no options.

If Bowen is clueless I don't know what most of the managers we've had in recent years would be described as.

It’s unacceptable. The lack of workrate is embarrassing.
