Westwood52 Probably my age;but I don’t think I will be paying £10 a game to watch on I Follow.Might have considered buying my Season Ticket; getting a free I Follow pass for home games until such time as I can attend.

The club will be devestated.

Surely the EFL won’t sanction the transfers....

On the face of it we aren't bothered about the EFL. I think the Derby County FFP ruling has opened the door for some clubs to disregard FFP penalties.

oxf*rd it, let's just spend as much as we can and if we go up then great. If we don't we will go bust and play non-league football.

He's a good lad, never given away his source either which is commendable. He has been ITK for a couple of seasons so my best guess would be someone like John O'Shea or Michael Gilkes.

Funny seeing lots of the same people who have slagged Gourlay off for 2 years for spending loads of money now getting excited about potentially doing it all over again.

From my side, am of the view that I can't change what us happening, we are a soap opera and our character is either about to win the lottery or be killed off.

Might as well enjoy the ride.

Might as well sell it back to the club at a loss and buy it back for 40m in a few months time.

Absolutely !
I really can’t get at all upset...
People seem to,think mismanagement is somehow new. Stuff going on now is fairly tame compared to what used to happen. If people knew half the stuff Mike Lewis used to get up to they would think we are a model of stability now. Bear in mind almost every9ne paid cash on the gate in those days there was huge scoop for dodgy going’s on.
There was also a time when the club was so skint the Supporters Club was essentially paying the players wages.
It’s only football, no one is going to die if we end up going down a division. Relegation just means you get to make new friends and go to obscure Northern towns you didn’t know existed....

tmesis Other than foreign players not coming, why would playing standards drop?
If it went semi-pro and salaries were neglible, then the best players would perhaps look at overseas top leagues that are perhaps Championship level in terms of quality but offering good wages.

I can't see the Championship going semi-pro, maybe they will have players on £1k a week instead of £5-£10k a week, still enough of a wage for it to be your main job as long as you live a lifestyle that fits in with that budget.

I don't see players having to stack shelves in Asda or become a taxi drivers to prop up their salaries.

I very much suspect that is being considered

From the legendary Eddie on Twitter:

"I understand that #ReadingFC ‘s players feel completely left in the dark about the situation. It hadn’t been explained to them as of last night. This is no way to prepare for the season and I hope we get some clarity today."

My perspective is I can't change it, but I can decide whether to be a part of it.

This is no longer the club I fell in love with and admired. It offers me very little right now, and I completely disagree with the way we operate.
