More I think about this the more I can see us getting Mark Hughes in.

What better way to appease Bowen?

genome Penny for Josh Laurent's thoughts on all this, considering Mark Bowen was the one who convinced him to come here

Been talk of him moving up with Bowen, as his assistant. Good move for him if true.

Seems to be a done deal as a few wider reliable journos now reporting this.

New head coach will be foreign.

I've also heard Dai Yonge is giving Liam Moore the majority share of the club and Nigel Howe is going to wear the New Chinese themed Kingsley suit.

As seen on Twitter:

"Serbian coach Aleksandar Stanojevic will be contender for the Reading FC manager's job with Mark Bowen returning to director of football role"

Massive LOL if this happens.

In his last job he lost 12 games out of 18 before resigning

Lovely.

He seems the right sort, has all the credentials necessary.

In all seriousness if this guy is hired then we know we are fcuked, it will be undeniable. We will have owners who can only work with yes men and a group of confused players who don't know if they are coming or going. All of this 2 weeks before the start of a season too. Personally I cannot get on board with this and will not return to watch games when we are allowed to do so, enough is enough.

genome Madejski must be spinning in his grave

Or stumbling around the Madejski hotel in a drunken daze throwing old copies of the Auto Trader at people.

Surely that’s lazy journalism? Used to manage one of Dai’s clubs, must be on his way to the Madejski, etc...

Doesn’t fit the bill of someone many players would want to sign up to play under and given they’ve seemingly moved Bowen back upstairs for that very reason, it’d make little to no sense.

That is exactly why it will happen.

I’m not going to believe anything the Torygraph prints. Like someone has said, it’ might be lazy journalism. Is there another reliable source? Perhaps The Guardian sports twitter feed has something. Can anyone help? I don’t have Twitter and nor do I intend to sign up to twitter.
