Probably wouldn't offer Aluko a new contract even if he plays well all season. But I'd be offering Morro a year extension in a heartbeat.

Sutekh For the record, the following players’ contracts are up in June 2021

Keepers

Jokull Andresson
Luke Southwood
Sam Walker

Defenders

Nelson Abbey
Ethan Bristow
Tom McIntyre
Michael Morrison
Omar Richards
Tennai Watson

Midfield

Sone Aluko
Ryan East

Forwards

Sam Baldock
Sam Smith

Of the above Richards, McIntyre and Southwood are the absolute priorities to get to re-sign, hope the club are already working on it.

Jesus there is a few key names in there that need to sign right now.

Yeah he deserves it. I dont think he has ever put a foot wrong for us. I think having 2 leaders in defence has been so helpful. They control the game so well together.

How long will you give Morrison? He turns 33 this season, so I'd be tempted by only 1 year. But then that's what Birmingham said and they look stupid now.

He's a leader and his game has never been about pace, so maybe he could have 2 years

Yep, I'd want to extend Morrison, McIntyre, Southwood, Richards and Bristow.

Probably offer Morro a year, with an auto extension at a lower wage if he plays 15 games and same wage if he plays 30 next season.

I'd say bite the bullet and offer him 2 years on, depending on his wage, either lower terms or, if not high wages, the same terms. He doesnt look like he is slowing down. I know CBs can suddenly turn but the man has been a mountain for us. Would be reliable cover too if he slows down a bit.

Ideally you transition him. Goes from 1st choice to 3rd/4th and still has loads of dressing room influence and experience to offer. Could easily work with McIntyre and Holmes behind him.

Morrison is great but bloody hell get Richards signed up ASAP. A star in the making if he stays fit.

But of course southwood and McIntyre need sorting as well

Richards is fast becoming a star. He has been insanely good.

Richards could be worth £10m+ by the end of the season.

Seems to be following in the long line of English fullbacks being really good right now.

Interesting stat that we've had the fewest shots in the championship so far this season, part of that is probably down to the style of play preferring to make a pass than take a low % shot but we've been incredibly clinical and its probably not something that we can sustain over long periods.

Going into the International break seems like a good time to take stock.

4 games, 4 wins. That's pretty good gravy.

Derby - abject opposition, but we played fairly well and put them away. And that's all you need.

Barnsley - poor first 60 minutes, but restricted their chances and capitalised on the reds. Struggled badly with a strong press. A gritty result that showed persistence, patience and graft

Cardiff - decent side but nothing special. Worked hard, played well and took the points. Did fine with a moderate press. Struggled a little early on.

Watford - good side, but missing a bit of creativity. Struggled with their width early on but grew into the game and outplayed a quality side. No real issues with the press, but some self inflicted near misses.

That's several tests passed with mostly flying colours.

Clear improvement on display from Puscas, Richards, Olise and Aluko

Laurent settled in quickly and easily.

Holmes doesn't look put of place in quality, although doesn't really convince as a medium term RB.

Couple of areas to strengthen ideally, but the first XI, if it was fit, looks a match for most comers.

Good signs for Paunovic. Transfers all fairly sensible and restrained so far.

Big tests to come against bogey side Middlesbrough.

Eventually losing q game and how we respond

Playing 90 minutes against a full hard press

Coming up against a proper threatening strike force

Coping with a 'lesser' team we should expect to beat

Consistency of performance without star players

Looks pretty good so far. 9/10

Yep all three should be sorted out ASAP. Richards really looks the part now. We mustn’t lose him on a free.

Hopefully now this seasons squad is pretty much settled we'll see some extensions happening. I reckon we currently have 11? senior players contracted for next season.

The team seems to have a real togetherness right now judging by instagram. Obviously a perfect start will do that but its nice to see.

The allusions to a really tough training session is good too. Pauno wants these guys fit.
