Hound Pauno has certainly made a great impression it seems. Genuinely likeable bloke from the outside, his behaviour after Sheff Weds was incredibly calm and balanced. Not got a bad word to say about him, and tbh I dont think he did very much wrong at all on our losing streak either and said so at the time

It`s impossible not to like the guy, sadly with a lot of this team and management if we are doing well it will have the bigger teams sniffing around when the time comes.

West Brom already looking at him.

They will need permission to talk to him and they won`t get that this season.

Of course they don't need permission to talk to him.

When have legalities ever stopped clubs trying to get a manager.

Any source on WBA looking at him? Or just OMA?

Anyway wouldn't surprise me if clubs are looking but would be surprised if he walked out at this stage. A lost play off could see him move on if the chance is there but not going to worry about that.

Then he would have to do a Judas and Judas mark 2. did we give Pardew permission?

McGhee was automatically allowed to talk to them, but agreed to stay to make SJM leave his house.
Pardew they were declined permission to talk to him, but Brooking announced live on TV that they were doing it anyway.
IIRC we learnt from Pardew and didn't bother trying to stop Fulham talk to Clarke because it wouldn't have made any difference anyway.

The likelihood is that because we're doing well the players are up for a laugh, but these pictures from the clubs Christmas photos are just brilliant.

I could too but what's the basis for your optimism?

After the Forest game I said that I thought the best thing about this season is the relationship between manager and players.
Despite 4 defeats in a row we still had a very confident air.

Today for the first time I could see that slipping away. The second half was much better and we played it around pretty positively but it was all too late and the players looked pretty forlorn.

If Veljko can get the team back to confident and winning ways after the last 3 (out of 4) games I will truly believe.
Unfortunately I think it is more likely that we will go the other way and slide towards mediocrity

Sam Walker is expected to join Blackpool on an emergency loan over the Xmas and new year period.

I would argue that even the team with the best morale in the world will find it very hard to keep going with the usual intensity when 3-0 in 30 mins . I would only be concerned about that if the same body language was there at 1-0 down and as you say they improved markedly in the 2nd half.

Saved a penalty tonight then unlucky to concede - Walker makes a double save, but Shrewsbury tuck the ball away on the second rebound through Dan Udoh.

So we’ll be going into the new year in the play off places. At the beginning of the season I don’t think even the most optimistic fan would’ve thought that.

Well said. Injuries have been a blow to our momentum but yes, had we been offered sixth place going into 2021 before the season Id have taken that
