LUX Happy to report that Doncaster got well beaten tonight. They were winning for a long time too.

Accrington got beat as well

Lincoln, Accrington and Hull all dropped points too and Newport are now gone from League 2

Pretty pathetic that I care about this sort of thing. My heart sank when Doncaster took the lead.

Absolutely nothing against Doncaster normally of course.

Doncaster's next 3 games are Accrington, Sunderland and Hull and they have Peterborough twice in their last 3 games of the season.

Carlisle have only played 3 games this year.

CountryRoyal I’m probably alone here but I actually think Watford could beat the 106. Defensively they are so good, they’re still winning their games and they’re missing their big strikers.

This has aged well....

I think it's always the free scoring teams that carry the most risk to the 106 record, without their slow start to the season I think this Brentford team could have genuinely challenged that record.

League One looks a bit tasty, but with 20 and 22 games left respectively for Lincoln and Doncaster it'd be a gargantuan effort to get to 106.
Lincoln would have to win 17 and draw 3 (or win 18 and lose 2) to match 106
Doncaster would have to win 18 and draw 4 (or equivalent) to match
Doesn't feel that likely, I guess

And now Brentford and Carlisle can now be struck off the “chasing pack” leaving just Norwich, Swansea, Lincoln, Peterborough and Doncaster.

Carlisle can still get 108pts. 42 points after 24 games so 66 still available

Doncaster and Peterborough are yet to play each other this season so they can't both get to 106.

Carlisle gone, Lincoln now 108.

Clearly its safe for another year, time to start worrying about 2022? Newcastle going down again would immediately put the record under more threat than a normal season.

Peterborough have to win the rest now
Obviously, Norwich can still lose or draw one ... and win the rest

Norwich look very strong, but need to win 12 and draw 1 of their last 13 games, beating Brentford 1-0 at the mo.

Can anyone see Norwich losing again though?

Our game at theirs might be the difference between them getting the record or not :D

100%...they will lose at least one more game this season. Absolute banker. You watch. Don't even worry about it.
