No problem with the starting line up but would have liked first team starters on the bench.

Sutekh

Would assume it is 4-2-3-1 with Araruna and Tetek in the middle, with Aluko in front and McNulty and Baldock out wide, which hopefully one of them comes in a bit narrower when we're in possession to help out Puscas.

Luton have made 9 changes as well apparently, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see on this one. Could be a masterstroke or could be a bit of a damp squib.

I think the message is that the Carabao Cup doesn’t matter

Brave side, but if we lose 0-3 we can write it off

Amazed at the bench

Ballsy manager, as I see it

Will watch expecting older, more experienced players to brush away a young, lighter-weight team

So if we get anything, it’ll be doubly good

Luton with 9 changes. The state of football when no one cares you've drawn Manchester United in the next round.

Still, glad I paid a tenner for it :|

Royals and Racers Sutekh- are you sure Mr Breakspear hasn`t refereed Reading before ? My info suggests 4 matches previously.

You’re right. My spelling was badly off when I looked him up, mind you it’s not helped by the fact he’s been on the league list for 8 years and he’s only reffed a few games in the Championship.

He’s done

10 Jan 15 > Reading 0-0 Middlesbrough
16 Jan 16 > MK Dons 1-0 Reading
23 Aug 16 > Reading 2-2 MK Dons (League Cup)
22 Aug 17 > Reading 3-1 Millwall (League Cup)

We aren't going to win the Carabao Cup but we might make the play offs. Manager has done the right thing in prioritising the league imo.

Gerhard Struber (Barnsley manager) said, after their defeat to Luton on Saturday, that his team didn’t handle Luton’s physical side well. Therefore might be a bit of a poor game tonight - and it’s perhaps just as well what you’d call the first XI are being rested.

Agree with this. Sure keeping a winning run going is preferable, but that may happen anyway.

Give the kids and second string a game, let Panko assess them, and no risks for the main XI to focus on the league

Brave but well done Panko

Why does Baldock have a copyright symbol after his name?
