All of you idiots who have moaned for the entirety of the first half will now bask in the glory of our easy victory against 10 man Barnsley. The majority of you don't deserve to listen or watch the 2nd half.

BTW, Barnsley working very hard, but one actual shot on goal

Pressing side tire second half

Our two full-backs best ATM. One goal-saving block from Rhino

Ejaria and Olise half-and-half, Swift missing so far

Joao really excellent at holding up, not so many chances to do it

If a Reading player had got sent off for that I’d be absolutely raging.

Snowflake Royal LOL, that's a tad harsh. Keeper's ball all day long.

But it is the second foul like that from them.

Can anyone explain the rule? Thought last defender fouling has to be a red even if keeper would get there first no?

JimmytheJim We expected Barnsley to give us a big test. Let's hope we can respond at half time, change our approach, give the midfielders a can of red bull.

Edit: oh, that's helpful.

Barnsley will not be relegated this year, nor Luton for my money. They're not poor sides. But looking so susceptible to being pressed well is obviously a concern.

Barnsley have been impressive but they are losing their discipline

Snowflake Royal Swift is diabolical at the moment. Needs to be hooked for Meite sharpish.

Olise in the middle and more of a physical presence on the right up against their fullback.

Could it be because we blocked his dream move?

Red card or not, that was brainless tugging him back. Deserved for stupidity

Last defender thing is punditry bullshit. It's got nothing to do with it.

It's about a clear goalscoring opportunity.

I would be raging at the player. Such a dumb thing to do.

Richards, Olise and Joao have played well but Swift, Ejaria and Laurent just not involved. Poor.

I believe the cliché is "giving the referee a decision to make"

Half time.

Ian wants the manager, players, mascots, club shop workers and Golden Gamble ticket sellers sacked for the teams poor first half performance.

Yeah just googled it. Changed in 2016.

A foul on a running striker committed by the last man of the defence will no longer result in a direct red card and suspension, unless the foul is violent or consists in a hand-ball in the box. As long as the foul is judged to be an honest attempt at taking the ball, the defender will only be shown a yellow card.

Apparently. So yeah, pretty harsh.

Ok, perhaps I saw it wrong. I didn’t think he’d pulled him back and that Joao threw himself into it. Willing to admit I may be wrong.
