Lovely strike from Olise. Amusing to see Rafael joining in with the celebrations.

Great finish!

Can we start with Ejaria, Olise & Meite and cash in on Swift & Puscas please?

Snowflake Royal Can we make Olise and Joao have babies?

I oxf*rd love Olise. Really delivering the end product.

Still a fair way from the finished article though, few errors and lapses of concentration in games but getting better. He should be total magic in a couple of years.

Pretty standard

People get far too excited about teams ‘pressing’.

Don’t get carried away this is very flattering. Tough on Barnsley. But they haven’t helped themselves.

Because this manager is building a team and unity and not a bunch of individuals.

Sounds like we’ve just signed one. Got a decent cb on the way in as well from the sound of it

I am very happy for Olise. You can see how much that meant to him. The team were so happy for him too.

Is a game played over 90 minutes ?
Is it the score at the end of that which counts are is it just decided on the first 45 ?
Hard to tell from some of the comments on here !

Paunovic has sussed the way to play this superbly.

LOL... wait and see how we do against a press without a numerical advantage for more than half a game.

Barnsley don't exactly carry a huge threat either.

But we've kept ourselves in the game, taken the gifts and put away our chances and at the end of the day 3 points is 3 points.

This. Flattering thanks to silly defensive decisions made by Barnsley. Before then it was the standard issues Reading have always had at home for the last 3 seasons. This is what needs to be addressed urgently by the management.

But then Reading still have to take advantage of the breaks and, of course, playing poorly but still winning is supposedly a sign of a good team.

If he was the finished article at 18 he would be playing for someone a couple of rings up the ladder
He needs to stay with us for a couple more seasons, get 100 games under his belt and then he’ll have Champions League sides fighting over him....

True but some credit for us to have been so under non stop pressure hold onto a clean sheet, yes the red cards helped us but they had 11 men and pressed us for 42mins

Old Man Andrews This is one of the worst first halves I've ever seen in terms of opinions in a match thread. You idiots being negative need to stop trying to appease Ian, he isn't someone you need to listen to. The fact is he is an utter disgrace and has been deeply offensive to the manager since he took over.

He isn't a supporter of the club

He didn't go to games prior to Covid

He wants the manager to fail

I agree also found it odd that the board was lambasting the players after 5 minutes. Football is a 95 minute game and strategy is for the game as a whole, it’s not about consistently dominating.

Would be nice if yourself and Ian had a ceasefire though.

Are all those wetting the bed in the first half ok? Notice some of you are putting it all down to Barnsley going down to 10 men and not crediting the manager at all.

Do you have any idea how silly you look?
