Sutekh Latest injury news

Swift (hamstring) - expected back in contention for 26 December (Luton at home)
Richards (hamstring) - expected back in mid January
Yiadom (knee) - not expected back until early February
Araruna (knee) - expected back in mid January
Meite (multiple injuries) - expected back late January/early February
Puscas (hernia) - expected back early January
Joao (soft tissue injury) - expected back 26 January (Brentford at home)

Gibson out of tomorrow’s game too

Chance for Bristow to make the step up perhaps

I too saw the tweet by RFC Exclusives and right now I'm unconvinced, the OS has released an update from Pauno where he says there are no additional injury concerns

SCIAG Joao and Meite very disappointing. Getting Puscas and Swift back would help tie us over.

Glenn Murray to join on January 1st would help, otherwise we will continue to be toothless up front.

Glenn Murray has scored 2 goals in his last 30 matches.

I think this update came from Get Reading but there's errors in it as usual with Low; the update re Joao he quotes as being from after the QPR game 3 to 4 weeks which from then is after the cup game not the end of Jan.

Story of his time at Reading?
Wasn't Joao reported as being with the team last week pre-match?

Yeh I thought it was quite an amusing line myself :)

And I think you're right about Joao

Played with a hamstring niggle in the second half against Norwich - unlikely to be risked today

Swift possibly on the bench today, if not he should be back for Luton

 You have to wonder if there’s much point the team actually turning up for the Brentford game. Three centre backs and one very raw and largely untried at a senior level left back plus one striker who doesn’t fit the style of play. Still football’s a funny old game and if Toney has real off day then who knows.

"On Paper" (yeah, I know) a 4-0 thrashing wouldn't be a surprise.

Really surprised that the prediction league is so positive.

I thought I was a whack-job thinking we'd get a draw

I thought the same against Norwich, but they needed a terrible ball from Rinomhota and a diving cheat to get past us. At least we created a chance for our goal. I believe can get something today.....a point would be great.

Swift would be on the bench I guess. Joao back would make a huge difference.

Joao really? That’d be a huge boost

Expecting swift back for Boxing Day. Massive plus but will take a while to get up to speed

Get him in.

In the Championship, only 110 minutes admittedly.

In the Premier League, 790 minutes, 1 goal. His other goal was in a cup.

So in the equivalent of ten matches, one goal. There's a reason he isn't getting picked at Watford. He's 37 and past it.

PL is a touch higher quality. Not really any point in comparing his record at that level
