Positives from yesterday?

by CountryRoyal » 31 Oct 2020 14:22

Ok I’ll go first.

If we are to be in contention at the top end of the table, it’s good to give points to a team that won’t be, rather than your Swansea/Bournemouth’s etc.

Any others?

When we had clearly lost, we still scored a late goal, that’s a positive.

Some teams are playing Sat and Tue, we played Fri and Wed.

Moving on to the negatives..... not got time

The longer break is definitely a big positive, Preston play at home today then have to do the long journey down south, hopefully we can take advantage.

Scored two good goals

There were other positives tbh but can’t be arsed discussing the game any more. Move onto the next one

The players will learn far from yesterday than they will in any of their last 8 games combined. Sometimes a defeat just gives you that kick up the arse you really needed.

Puscas coming on and being clinical, it`s nice to have 3 strikers who are capable of double figure goals over the season, this can only be a good thing.

Goal keeping errors on 2 goals rather than bad defending - unlikely to happen often as we have a decent keeper

The fact they were able to get the shots away is more of a concern.

We scored two goals.
Puscas is showing patience and then quality when given a chance
We created a fair few chances
We showed we don't fold when we go behind
We showed we don't panic when we go behind
We can use it to avoid complacency
We can use it as motivation to succeed

It's not appreciatively harmed us

I’m not sure I agree with a lot of that.

But in the spirit of being positive, nice.

Two positives

Pressure of maintaining an unbeaten run is over

Anyone seeing us for the first time won't view us as a major threat.
We can go under the wire for a bit, where we are happiest
