windermereROYAL Regardless of them having man sent off if they pack them all behind the ball it will never be easy.

Is there ever any actual consequence to a referee's incompetence? After a performance like that this guy should not be officiating at this level. We probably dallied too much on the edge of the area and should have made our dominance count but come on, at least 3 of those penalty shouts were so obvious it's untrue. Embarassing.

Snowflake Royal Absolutely disgraceful officiating.

This is the first time I’ve seen OMA and Ian Royal agree - at last some common ground!

Jackson Corner Utterly clueless 2 nd just played into there hands ref was a joke am sick and tired of the shit referring at this level. People moan about var but we would have had 2 pens tonight. 2 big points dropped.

We could easily have had four!

Pulis' HT changes made it much harder to make chances - we didn't really create a huge amount in the second half for all our possession apart from 4 penalty shouts.

Aluko/Baldock really don't offer a plan B off the bench, and Esteves didn't offer as much as hoped.

TBH not too mad - second consecutive game where we have dominated the opposition. Even at 0-0 they sat back and scored a counter at home to tinpot Reading...

That was the first goal they had conceded at home in over 5 hours of football. It’s was always going to be hard to break them down. Especially with 9 players behind the ball. It was a cracking performance and further proof we will be there or there about come the end of the season.

Two stonewall pens - ref got it right with Laurent's claim.

We didn't move them enough, not enough width and too ponderous to pull defenders out of position.

If we can't do the basics.....

Esteves wasn’t helped by always trying to do it own his own, left to try and beat two players. Needed Aluko to make a run next to him to give him an option or take away a defender.

It was Naive.

We didn’t play well in the second half but we should be top tonight. That is simply unacceptable refereeing.
We have been completely robbed tonight. Fuming.
Still let’s beat Forest and go top.

That Richards pen - seeing it again on the replay

Surely one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen. Just wtaf is the Ref thinking there? Bizarre

Silver lining thanks to covid. If Id have been at Hillsborough I almost certainly would have burst a blood vessel.

That being said with fans there he gives at least one of those.

Agree.

Is there any point even having baLOLdock on the bench? May as well put Kingsley on instead, at least it would be interesting

Watched in horror how the ref didn't give at least 2 pens, should've definitely been 3.
Richards - defo pen
Reach handball - defo pen, moved his hand towards the ball
Laurent - pen
Did I miss any stonewall pens?
It felt like the ref was trying to balance things out. But he made the right decision, it was a blatant red and a stonewall free kick. On other days, our free kick might've been given as a penalty.

Baldock is a waste of time.
For those who criticise VAR just look at the decisions in the past two games. The standard of officiating is a joke.

It was some of the most low budget football I've ever seen. It is the anti-football, awful, bleak, dated nonsense.

I can just about see how he’s called the Laurent (who was excellent btw) shout as he did but the other 3 were inept from the ref, the handball was ridiculous. We should be top
