Hound Squad depth is basically ok. Missing 4 big players in Yiadom, Swift, Puscas and Meite and still pretty strong

The trouble is that we are relying on Baldock coming on and making a difference. He is hopeless.

Really hate the fact we don't have an exciting home-grown young striker on the bench. Would take that over Baldock every day of the week.

100pc it’s depressing as Pauno went for it at the end to get the win but when you only have baLOLdock to bring on it’s all pointless

its hard for Baldock to influence a game like that, esp when he is getting so few minutes generally. Not particularly defending him as he had a poor game. At least with Puscas he has had a few starts and international games to keep him sharp

Think like Obita, it’s time for him to drop down to L1, or at the very least a similar level to McCleary

Another one filed away as a strange signing overall, clearly was a decent player but we only really played to his strengths for about 5% of his time here and coincidentally, it’s been his best run of games here (when Bowen first came in)

yeah he can't be happy with how it went. A Clement signing who spent most of his time under him injured if i remember, and not suited any of the following managers

I don't know how founded the squad depth concerns are. We're without Swift, Yiadom, Meite and Puscas and still put out a good team last night. Upgrading Baldock would be great as I don't trust him to make an impact, but we have to think about wages and finances too. If we can't shift Baldock, can we afford another option?

There are clubs in this league with deeper squads for sure, but we should be able to compete with ours.

Thought we were crying out for a bit of width and pace on the flanks last night although Richards did well.

A Little, a Convey, or a Kebe, would have caused a bit of panic in their defence at least.

Not sure that’s strictly true, he had the odd spell injured under him. What I gather is that Clement wanted to play two up top, but our midfield was so useless back then that he had to play 3 in the middle which meant Baldock’s only role was at LW

I reckon he could have suited Gomes’ system if he wasn’t strangely frozen out and he was decent under Bowen up until he got injured, we changed to 1 up front and he never got a real look in after that

Do think he’s done here now though, not much of a chance of getting back into the XI

Wasn't it under Clement he had that calf problem that went on for ever? tbh that might have been under Gomes by then
