Yes, 2-1 absolutely flattering, and Velcro needs to look at his tactics after that. Might bring Olise down to earth a bit, he was very poor. We need to compete more, not stand off, not pass across the back, and foul a bit more. Haven’t got a hard edge, and any team that presses us has a good chance of taking points because we can’t cope with it.

Have to say Birmingham very cynical, but they got their tactics spot on and looked fitter and faster than us.

Zip An appalling performance. With Joao and Meite likely to be out it’s going to be very hard for us over the next few games.

What happened to Joao?

Zip Baldock upfront on Saturday then. This is proving to be a very bad bad night.

People who say we don’t need to recruit in January are fcuking off their nut. We have NO depth.

Who'd have thought it would be a problem to have our three best strikers all injured at once.

Even without injuries this game has showed us we need something. We currently have nothing which can change the game from the bench, yes swift should be back soon, I don’t know how far Puscas is off but it’s not enough for a promotion challenging team.

Didn't watch but 25 fouls by Brum sounds like a tactic.
Was it deliberate to break up the play or just they can't tackle?

Clutching his thigh/hamstring after the lob attempt at the end there.

Agreed but I didn’t think Olise was any worse than Ejaria.

Is Joao definitely injured?

Need width and pace added to the squad to provide something different and very scary for opposition defenders. I won’t hold my breath.

A bit of the first but more a consequence of their aggressive press. Served them well ultimately.

TBF we didn’t deserve anything out of that.Sure the Ref let them get away with murder but too many players had off nights and our current bench is incredibly weak. All three who came on were useless.Jao and Meite need to man up.Hard to pick out anyone who played well, maybe Morrison ,Richards and Rino.

Joao, Ejaria and Olise not at the races today. Meite anonymous but for his goal and winning the pen (which wasn't).

Credit to Brum for keeping the pressure/filthy sh*thousing on us throughout. We just couldn't deal with it.

Losing Meite and Joao for the festive period doesn't bear thinking about.

Keep your knickers on mate. Were a lot further down the table when we had a bloated squad. Smaller close-knit squad is working better for us this time around

I reckon that’s at least 7 goals conceded from outside the box.

Hardly off from that post?

Also 1 or two decent additions wouldn’t make a “bloated” squad, half the bench is filled with u23s that are never going to play.

A typical benchmark Reading performance, home , chance to go top, missed penalty, against ten men for last twenty minutes and a classic pathetic gutless choke from us . Absolutely woeful .
