Meite does a very good job defensively as well. I feel a lot more comfortable with either Esteves or Holmes there with Meite ahead of them.

I think Esteves has improved a fair bit though and offers more than Holmes, who has looked a little rocky to me recently, at the moment. Was some noise about Yiadom and Araruna being close to fitness so interesting to see what happens when they do get back to full fitness

Yeah, Meite tends to stay wide in a defensive shape, and is always a decent outlet on the ball because of his strength

Whereas Olise and particularly Aluko drift inside a bit, both offensively and defensively, which gives the fullback less of an option on the ball, and less support off the ball. Which isn't ideal for 20 year old CB at RB or a 18 year old. Obviously, it's less of a problem with Yiadom/Araruna there who are more experienced there

Olise normally still does his defensive work, but can be caught napping. Aluko frequently just stands and watches

Yep Olise does his best and can be quite Effective but you’ve got a very young and inexperienced flank whoever plays rb

Aluko has been poor defensively. He can do a job as a CAM but liability on the flanks

Memories of a game v Coventry a few years ago when it was the hottest and most humid day that I can remember at the stadium.
Daughter moved from the East stand to the North stand for shelter-I don't think it will be quite like that tonight.

We might see if the rest that people go on about so much proves to be a good thing tonight so am looking for a fast start from players mad keen to get playing again.
A good opportunity to keep in touch with the top two and maintain a play-off challenge.

Tbf to Esteves imagine having to play behind Aluko. There's going to be times when Aluko is the only option you have to pass to so you probably are better off just giving the ball to the opposition and skip the middle man.

good stuff. Still a bit light on the bench but happy with the side.

Camara must have been impressing - he's only 17 isnt he?

Strong side that. Add in Yiadom and Moore and it looks perfect. Plus maybe Meite for Ovie, but happy with either tbh.

I almost want him to have a quiet game and goes pretty unnoticed.

This looks as strong as possible with injuries considered. Think we are great value at home in the betting tonight, unlike above I fancy Olise to have an absolute baller of a performance tonight. (Not at all in my scorecast bet lol)

Strong team tonight. Most/All haven't played for over two weeks. Must be super fresh.

Absolutely NO EXCUSES tonight.
