@ HT
Snowflake Royal I'd like an early goal or two second half please. Fear Brentford easing ahead the longer it stays even, if you know what I mean.

I hate being right.

The lack of depth is so frustrating and it could be the difference between us going up or not.

Sad as I feel right now I can't be upset.

Decent clean quality game of football.

First half we were clearly better.

Then Canos came on, changed the game, we tired and they were all over us and in fairness fully deserved the win by the end.

"Great advert for the Championship" is that ridiculous saying that applies here.

Brentford deserve to go up.

To be fair, so do we.

tidus_mi2 Autos aren't out the question, at worst we'll be 7pts off if Swansea win their game in hand but I think it will take a big collapse in form from Brentford to oxf*rd this up.

To mount a challenge from here we need some luck with injuries. We could Ill afford to lose two key players for this game. We were being forced back in the last 15 minutes and they took that second goal really well. We looked tired and maybe Pauno should have brought on the likes of Esteves and even Holmes and seen it out for a draw.

You’ve got to be lucky with injuries the whole season to be top two, we haven’t been and therefore can’t field enough quality off the bench, especially up front. Three individual mistakes too, Laurent for the first, Richards not challenging at the back post for the second, and poor keeping by Rafael for the third. Played well, but need more up front. Can see Brentford and Norwich as top two without doubt.

Not sure theres a sample size with enough data for you to make that assertion.

Hound DaSilva was bloody good.

Thought Toney, Fosu and Mbeumo were all pretty poor but Canos definitely improved them

Yet DaSilva was very sloppy before his first goal. Ooh his second goal really hurt. You knew it was over then. Fair play they kept pushing forward. They came for the win and deserve credit.
Toney was quiet all night but ended up with a goal and assist. They only had five attempts at goal all night.

Just think, missed penalties and awful injuries......we really could be where Brentford are now.
The bad luck is hard to take, but as you say we could have eased it all with a couple of signings.
With Baldock and Aluko robbing the club of 2 good salaries, that could have been 2 key signings. Frustrating to say the least.
I dread the playoffs......

Some positive comments on their messageboard about us. We were excellent for the first 60 but didn’t make it count. We are overly reliant in Joao. He was well marshalled by Pinnick tonight.

I fear the lack of depth only compounds issues further. 10/11 players played 90+ in an end-to-end game increasing the load on their bodies and injury risk in training or the next match (in only 66 hours time...)

A fair few faded quite a bit in the last 20.

Excellent performance, two strong, technical teams out there but we ran out of energy and they capitalised on it

9 - Morrison McIntyre
8 - Richards Rinomhota
7 - Yiadom Olise Semedo Ejaria Joao
6 - Rafael Laurent Aluko

Obviously with Puscas/Meite/Swift fit, we would have had more options off the bench but tonight was a great sign for the future and I don’t think Brentford would have had too many harder games this season

Canos is annoyingly good. I remember that belter he scored against us a few seasons ago.

It wasn’t just the lack of quality on the bench but the lack of the ability to change it up. Meite would have added something totally different whilst Semedo and Swift are very different players

A shame but no point bleating to much about it. Still tons to play for this season.

Keep going, top two still not out of the question. Norwich are good but if those late goals they always seem to get dry up then they are reachable, Swansea are fairly uninspiring.

Even Brentford, as good as they are, tipped for promotion in every season preview you can find since they came up, because they're a well run club but they threw it away last season and they have a tendency to trail away in the final months. Unlikely this time though.

Brentford played exactly as we did when we won the title in 2011/12.

Held in the game for 80mins then got the result when it matters most.

Fairplay. At least we don’t play the top 6 for a while now!

Tbf is happier seeing the likes of Esteves, Aluko and Baldock come on against Millwall. You could see Aluko just wasn’t up to the quality of this game
