Mate, no need to be offensive to me that's uncalled for. You're fine, I won't rise to it.

If you're anti-Pauno, my bad and apologies.

Reading till I die also, and it's for that reason I believe he needs to be removed from the situation. I don't agree with a position I regard as cowardly and apathetic.

Remember the situation with Jaap Stam? He was out of contract at the end of 2017/18 and we didn't sack him until March. So Dai could still pull the trigger. To be honest I'd pull it now, as March and April looks tough! February has some winnable games where we must pick up points from. Peterborough is a must win game too, especially if they win their games in hand.

There is no way, not one chance in hell, that Paunovic makes it to the end of the season unless we improve significantly.

Our 6 and 12 game form is
LDLLLL - 0.17 ppg
WDLWDLLDLLLL - 0.75ppg.

Unless he can get us up to at least 1.2 ppg over 6 to 12 soon, he's toast.

There is no way he's surviving beyond 12 games without a win, imo.

We have 2 wins and 11 defeats in 16 games. Dead man walking.

Do believe if he were to stay until the end of the season and we go down that would mean the owner had lost interest? Or possibly it’s our only option due to FFP?

Stop it, I’m nursing a semi at the thought.

Where’s the Clowno Pauno Out Party being held? Is it BYOB?

The closer to the end of the season the less FFP becomes an issue. And the lower attendances get the more him staying is costing us.

Think it's likely we'd get an attendance bump if he left, which basically pays for his replacement.

Problem is all Dai IMO.

I read an article from Jose Gomes at the weekend which covered parts of his time at Reading and, even though when he was first appointed we were in the bottom 3 and cut adrift somewhat, he mentions how the attitude at the club from the fans, staff and board members was all focused on relegation and preparing for life in League One. I wonder what the board would say regarding any incoming manager now.

I'd think if it was an interim manager for 6 months like a Warnock, then the target would be survive at all costs. If it was somebody internal such as Quinton Fortune for example, I think we would be preparing for life in League One.

Doesn't address the issue of how to take the club forwards. Less than 11k attendance on Saturday. Finances are continuing to detoriate.

The guy is re-writing history. We were 19th and 3 points behind 20th, 6 off 16th.

And when Clement went, 2 points off 19th and 5 off 16th

He improved us 1 place, and had us 4 from 19th and 13 from 16th.

A lot of the fans thought we were heading for League One without a change and few had faith in him, but we certainly weren't all preparing for life in L1.

The guy is just blowing smoke up his own arse to make the job he did look less utter shit.

Yeah that

If we’d been preparing for league 1, we wouldn’t have been signing Martinez, Oliveira, Baker and Miazga

Considering the side we had at that time, we really weren’t very good. Still remember most games being a struggle and often needing Martinez to bail us out

quick google for the 0-0 game with WBA that got us safe. Doesn't sound like a team prep for div 1

Martinez
Yiadom-Moore (when he was good)-Miazga-Blackett
Rino-Baker
Barrow-Ejaria-Meite
Oliveira

I don’t think you were far out although after the New Years Day hammering by Swansea we were 23rd and something like five points away from safety looking pretty desperate. He had just taken over for the Boxing Day game I think.

Once the new signings came in January we improved but it was still a big struggle and we rode our luck v Wigan in a crucial game where at 2-1 down Martínez kept us in it.

Very decent side. Nothing like a L1 team.
