I think the Bristol City striker Famara Diedhou would be perfect to supplement Joao, Meite and Puscas next year. They’ll no doubt all be injured come September so we need some sort of back up!

I like him too, similar age, similar amount of goals from the same amount of games for previous club.

Just feel we need a back up with more presence in our system. Baldock was swatted off like a flea.

When we inevitably lose Joao to injury we’ll be weak in attack and we need a lone striker option. I’d prefer Diedhou in that respect.

Striker Joe Pigott said it had been the “toughest decision” of his career after he decided not to sign a new contract with Wimbledon.

Is Pigott OOC? We've been linked with him for a while.

Yep - class player before injury, showing signs of a return - i would like him here as a proven goalscorer.

Bournemouth: https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/club-news/c ... ased-list/

Jack Wilshere will leave the club upon the expiry of his short-term contract, having made 17 appearances and scoring two goals since putting pen to paper in January.

Sounds like he stayed fit but wages could be a a problem

Daniel Sturridge is a free agent, 31 years old and looking for a club in England according to reports. He's been without a club for over a year, since his contract was terminated in March 2020 shortly before receiving a four-month worldwide ban for breaching betting rules.

Not sure how good he still is after a year out, but that may work in our favour, plus the ban and the circumstances around it might put others off. He'd certainly be a more realistic target than Aguero who is on the frontpage list.

Wages, attitude and injuries could be a problem.

Anyone here from Sunderland's released list:

Callum McFadzean, Chris Maguire, Conor McLaughlin, Grant Leadbitter, Max Power, Josh Scowen and Remi Matthews have not been offered new terms and will leave the club when their respective contracts expire on 30 June 2021.

We couldn't afford an increase on £5k a week for Richards so not a cat in hells chance we would pay £50k a week for Rose. Same applies to Wilshere.

Anyone want a free rose? Danny Rose that is, his contract has ended at Spurs and is available to anyone who can pay decent wages. Guess, that leaves us out of the running for him, then.
