McDermolenko Michael Morrison now out injured, no first team centre-backs available for this weekend.

Josh Laurent played like a first choice centre back on Saturday. Guess he will be chucked in there.

Dann may be fit for Sat. Laurent/Dann at the back. Drinkwater full debut. Strickland on the bench.

If neither Morrison or Dann are fit for Saturday our only fit CB aged over 18 available will be Stickland.

I have to say that the injury crisis is unlike anything we have ever seen before. And with the looming points deduction too I am thinking that it might be our turn to go down irrespective of how talented our squad is on paper.

It is actually quite impressive.

8 games in and of the club’s “senior” centre backs (Moore, Holmes, Morrison, McIntyre & Dann) all are now either injured or not match fit (then, of the youngsters, there’s also Abbey injured and Dorsett out on loan)

Anyone know what MM’s injury actually is, is it something serious? Given the horrendous luck with injuries they can’t be allowing physical contact in training surely?

Also how serious is Holmes’ injury?

How good is Strickland, anyone seen him play for the u23s?

We have a squad that is made of grass. Christ I can`t remember a season in our history when it`s been this bad, how sodding ironic it would be this year.

Holmes was a sprained ankle so should be weeks rather than months. Morrison has a knee injury. Not sure how bad.

It is a lot harder at his age though, he would have had to be careful not to overdo it. I am a bit surprised the club haven't arranged a behind closed doors game for he and a few of the fringe players to play in just to get some minutes in. This week would have been a good opportunity for that with the League Cup on.

Reading injury news

• Rinomhota is training but being monitored
• Rafael is available
• Moore should be back by October 16th
• Araruna is working towards match fitness
• Holmes has a significant injury
• Morrison could be out long-term
• Dann will play once he is ‘fit enough to start games.’

Got a feeling Dann will play on Sat. Surely he can't be that unfit.

Southwood is a decent player, I'd stick Rafael in goal and let Southwood play on pitch

Is Kingsley match fit ?

And do the club still register the fans as N0 13 ? could then get us all to play centre back ?
