Fail to see how the medical team would really be doing anything different to any other medical team at any other club.

The staff will all have the same degrees and qualifications as other physios at other clubs. I doubt there is much variation in medical practice given the best treatment options will be publicly available for all.

Ejaria training all week hopefully involved Sat.

I'd expect Baba and Yiadom also to be back given Partey is on the bench for Arsenal tonight.

McIntyre - may be involved QPR

Hoilett and Halilovic - beginning to make sense why no one else signed them before we came in late. Both have had 2 hamstring injuries in 4 months...not sure re previous injury records though.

When Halilovic did his against Kiddy, it was suggested to be a short term one. QPR would be 3 weeks so expecting him back by then

Azeez and Tetek - not sure what is going on with those 2. Seem to play one miss one. But hopefully back either Sat or 29th on the bench

The 10 currently missing, presumed injured:

Andresson

Not seen or heard of since return to club, presuming injured as surely would have played some part of something, somewhere considering is next most experienced keeper after Southwood.

Araruna

Dislocated knee? Probably has played last game for the club.

Azeez

Missing from last couple of games so presumed injured. Don’t think anything too serious.

Dann

Was a cut leg I believe so shouldn’t be too serious so surprised he’s not available to play as yet.

Ejaria

Expected to be available for QPR, would expect to come on from the bench after lengthy time out

Halilovic

Hamstring tweak I think but not entirely sure, however not believed too serious hoping is back in contention for Bristol if not sooner

McIntyre

Rumoured might be back for QPR though a way off of match fitness (so about 1 half for the u23s should bring him up to the rest of the team’s level).

Meite

Really can’t see any chance until at least Easter but more like out for season

Moore

Ignoring the related shenanigans behind the scenes, he had a soft tissue injury. However he has been called up by Jamaica and is expected to join up with them for their WC qualifier games next week. He may be released by Jamaica if they don’t think he’s fit enough but if he does go then he should be available for the visit to Bristol so long as he doesn’t get another injury with Jamaica. Issue with him though is how the fans will take to him if he does play (one would hope he’d get the “benefit” for at least a game or two as he is a good player when all the cr@pola is lifted)

Tetek

Same as for Azeez

So the above would suggest only Meite and Araruna (plus possibly Andresson seeing as no one knows anything about what’s happened there) should still be out by the time the bandwagon rolls into Ashton Gate on 9th Feb (but given what we’ve all seen so far don’t hold you’re breath).

Azeez rolled his ankle in training, and Dann pulled his hamstring.

Encouraging news about Dann i true because Tom Holmes is a massive liability has it stands, seriously need him next week or QPR could tear us apart.

He's got Dann wrong. He pulled up from his hamstring going. The cut was ages ago and long since resolved.

I thought that about the cut but I totally missed news about his hammy. Is it just a minor worry or something more serious?

The hammy was why Dann came off against Fulham. Never quite know if it’s a pull or tear as we don’t get told. Just a minor tear/pull he should be back sooner rather than later. Hal and ejaria should be back for QPR. Hoilett and Joao should be fully fit (or as fit as the others prob a better way of putting it)

Meite not likely to miss the season is he? Last I hear he was targeting late Feb and had been progressing well

He pulled up in a jog. My guess is it shouldn't be too serious because there can't have been much pressure / tension on it.

But it does speak to terrible conditioning.

Dann's also been pretty mediocre anyway.

If we can get Meite back for even 6 weeks it might be the difference between staying up and going down.

It’s a big ask. Three current Welsh rugby internationals suffered the same injury

Dan Lydiate Feb 2021 just returning and available for selection
George North April 2021 just returned to training
Leigh Halfpenny June 2021 not close to being back

Yaks injury was end June 2021. He mustn’t be rushed back by Pauno or he will be about again for ages. If he plays any part this season he will have done remarkably well.

Far from it. North is a similar physique to Yaks. Halfpenny smaller but very muscular. Lydiate similar.

As previously commented I think we need to forget meite for this season, that injury is 9-12 months and then won’t be same player…

Looks to me like Hoilett typically misses 10-15 matches every season, and I would assume that is largely through injury.

From 2017-20 he had the best run of games of his career. Out of a possible 130 league matches he played 119. Last season he only played 21 matches but I think that was partially because McCarthy didn’t want to select him.

I think Hoilett was our best summer signing. Clever player. He needs to play wide though.

what's happened to Boyce-Clarke? Assumed he'd be the back up keeper rather than Holden
