morganb Not injuries per se but we could be missing a few from late Dec to early Feb due to the African Cup of Nations.

Ovie Ejaria has been named in the provisional Nigeria squad for the AFCON taking place in 2022 (though FIFA still need to approve his nationality switch)

Then Baba and Yiadom are likely to be in the Ghana squad.

Either our injury situation improves or we are absolutely oxf*rd in January.

We will be fukked because we will lose these three plus Morrison, Meite and Joao will still be out. So six missing already with others bound to be out.

Not worth bringing the under 18s up to speed in dead rubbers at all.

Are the entire management team down with COVID? Where would this leave tomorrow's game? Surely if the senior coaching team can't be there it's valid grounds to call the game off?

We can still field a team, don't need coaches for that. I'm sure Pauno could still pick one. Someone from the Academy can easily take over on the sidelines as they could if he gets sacked

The only reason i can see it getting called off is players are having to isolate.

How does that work then? If the management have to isolate then that has to be the same as if it were players as the management team work around the players.

Or perhaps that’s Reading’s problem all the management staff run training via zoom

You're right. Dubious about the merits of this myself - and would not be at all surprised if there are more cases next week.

If you are fully vaccinated or aged under 18 years and 6 months you are not required to self-isolate if you are a contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Would suggest Yiadom has only had one shot (if any) whilst the latter is a side effect of not playing for a few years to playing every minute 3 times a week. He may well have been playing through it over the past few games - may explain the drop off in his performances.

I don't think it does. He's been playing a much more roving game recently and most of his issues have been just fluffing straight forward passes.

Assume the covid and soft tissue injury are also just run of the mill unlucky impact injuries according to our medical team

JLow: hearing Liam Moore and Ovie Ejaria are big doubts for today’s #readingfc game at Birmingham.

Does it really matter any more? So many players are crocked that now I think we’re well passed the point where adding another 1/2/3 etc. actually makes any difference.

what is the latest situation? The case of Rinomhota is very odd

Did anyone else notice that Morrison was helping out the coaching staff on the pitch prior to the game- wearing his knee brace
