Snowflake Royal Can't believe Moore, Morrison and Yiadom formed a precise triangle around the second goalscorer, all giving him 5 yards.

Isn't a defence supposed to hold a line? And mark attackers.

What’s a defence?

Well Liam 2 goals and an assist Moore doesn't have a oxf*rd clue that's for sure.

 just what the £&@! have they been doing in training to lose 3 players to injury in 2 weeks with no games. Perhaps they should stop doing whatever it is and concentrate on getting a defensive unit together that can actually defend rather than produce patently unfunny comedy routines.

Well that was a desperate ending

I’m not sure I’ve seen a worse defence in the champ in recent years than our current lot. That was embarrassing and most be so dispiriting for the likes of Swift who was excellent

Great game against supposedly one of the top sides (thought they were pretty average tbh) and going forward showed some really nice stuff.

But no matter how many we score if we are going to be so completely inept at the back. How many more games can they give that pair at CB? They were dreadful even before the collapse at the end

Thr annoying thing is we were looking pretty set defensively up to 3-1, could only see us scoring and 4 or 5-1 looked possible. Then....

The defence, in particular the CBs seemed to think job done. Morrison somehow allows Gray 5 metres space for his tap in and was pretty much jogging back. From that point, esp. after the sub it was a case of when they got that chance and if they could take it. They did.

What hurts is that from 20mins in, we looked like a bloody good Championship side. Puscas lively up top, he'll get one soon now and attack wise nearly unplayable. Need to sort out the CBs and we will go up the table either with this manager or another .

I don’t take any notice of anything this clown says whether it be post match pre match or any oxf*rd interview he does. Adkins got a lot of stick for delusional post match interviews this guy takes the title of talking utter shit. He said after the ‘udders game they know how to fix things at the back. Two weeks he’s had to work on it 10 mins in and normal service resumes. Post match today he says they know how to fix it. No you don’t pauno. Just go you utter utter fraud.

I kind of switch off. Just rambling.

But to be fair what else can you say when some mafia are threatening your family to stick with zonal marking (I'm assuming that's the only reason) and you have absolutely no answer to taking off one of your most effective players, the only striker in your side, keeping totally shite Hal on, and trying to hold onto a 1 goal lead. When you have no answers just ramble.

As much as you want it to be, zonal marking wasn't and isn't the problem. We only use it at corners and are yet to let a goal in that way.

The goals from free kicks are due to a high line and at least one player failing to do their job, I.e. block a runner - which didn't happen today.

RG30 Will be keeping an eye on all the QPR fans in G4/G5 celebrating when they score :)

So how did 200+ QPR fans manage to buy tickets in the lower west before being marched to the away end when they had clearly sold out?

There’s nothing to justify. The zonal system worked well today. We conceded two goals from open play and one at a set piece where I’m pretty sure we were man marking (badly). We were getting our heads on the ball at corners.

The fact is that teams who defend zonally at set pieces concede about the same number of goals as those who man mark. Small teams like ours at the moment seem particularly likely to benefit as Morrison and Moore can defend the most dangerous zones, rather than worrying that the opposition’s third best player is going to get a free header in front of goal.

This. Very good article on The Tilehurst End this week about it and how zonal is not the problem. Recommended reading.

I’ve whinged before about people just blaming our supposed zonal marking system without having a single clue about it or how it is or isn’t implemented. I know we all do it and think we are experts but honestly it’s better just to say we defended the set piece badly rather than try to pick apart a system

In terms of the post match - no doubts he was fuming - if you have someone with very limited knowledge of the game claiming to blame your ‘zonal’ system, you really aren’t going to qualify it with any sort of reply

Excellent game, really enjoyed myself. Shame we didn’t win but the way QPR celebrated getting a point says it all.

Swift was excellent despite not being on the same wavelength as new players a few times. Rahman also looks like a fine replacement for Richards. Dele-Bashiru looks like the player people hoped Akpan would be, bit unrefined but made things happen. Not sure what the point of Halilovic is.

We need to improve defensively. Too many times we had too few men back and got caught out. The first goal was dreadful.

Hope QPR get a big fine for the trouble their fans caused. Threatened to spoil what was otherwise a great afternoon.

Looking forward to Tuesday.

Halilovic and Swift worked well together. They will really rip a team to part in the near future if they both stay fit.

I was watching the QPR corners, their players were bunching on the edge of the box, you can`t man mark when they are doing that.
