Lower West What was the attendance today? Another low turnout it would seem.

Guessing somewhere around 11,500.

Gobsheik Not a harsh red card at all. The player went in for the chance to win the ball with his studs raised. That is enough for the referee to deem that dangerous play. You cannot make a tackle etc with your studs showing.

Definitely not a red. What could have been a red was Peltier hitting a clothesline that would make Hulk Hogan proud on Ejaria. Don't know why he wasn't given a second yellow for his aggression to the ref just after the final whistle.

It was a silly challenge, but it’s a yellow card at worst, at best just a foul. Southwood was brave to go for that.

I’m very encouraged with the signings made either way. I wasn’t sure on Halilovic but he clearly wants to turn his career around here, not having clubs wanting him all summer seems to have given him a wake up call. Same with Drinkwater. For all it’s faults the staff and fans seem to make this a good club to come to when you need to turn your career around.

Really enjoyed the game. Though we were excellent for 70 mins, sat back a bit too much at the end. Lack of use of Puscas is a bit baffling, assume there must be some injury issue,

Generally lots of positives. Defence all excellent, DD could be an superb addition. The attacking midfielders have great quality and a joy to watch at times. Lovely move for the goal, and for TDB's missed chance.

Boro were weird, I'm guessing the reason we sat so deep at times was to stop them getting it out wide and getting crosses in, but they really didnt do it at all. And their set pieces were terrible. Really helped us out. A poor side tbf

Southwood looks a massive upgrade on Rafael. Great with the ball at his feet, but needs to not get complacent. I enjoyed the passing out, but draw the line at playing Rondo's in our own 6 yard box.

Huge question mark hanging over those missing centre backs. How can we look so massively improved by playing Laurent/Yiadom there over experienced specialists? Thought they were both top class, along with Baba and Tetek, but why has it taken MM/Moore and Holmes all being out to make it look like we know what we are doing?

Do wonder if maybe Dann's had some input off the field whilst getting fit. Struggling to find why else we seem to have turned it around other than just blaming the previous players.

Having watched the replay, doesn't look a red. But they were certainly lucky not to lose someone else over the incidents at the back end of the game

Why are refs/linos so shit at giving foul throws? Such a basic and obvious error, but rarely gets punished.

Never a red. Ref crumbled because of the player reaction and, I like to think, 1871's "off off off"

Enjoyed today. Didn't have a clue how we were going to line up once I saw the team, makeshift defence was excellent. No way any other side is going to play short corners against that team though. Dunno what Colin was thinking. Hope Dann can help out this week.

We play lovely stuff going forward. With Joao fit we'd be challenging for the play offs even if we get 9 points.

Great to get another win. Didn’t see the game but really question that Dann wasn’t even fit enough to sit on the bench. Surely he could play 20 or 30 mins if needed? Hope Tetek now isn’t injured

Some of the stuff we played just before and after the goal was delightful to watch. Superb get-it-and-give-it display by Drnkwater and wonderful rotation and movement by the midfield at times. Was also impressed by Hoilett in the first half - just far more mobile than Puscas. Tetek dodgy early on and great job by Halilovic to tuck in and help him out. Just wished we could have been a bit braver and got a second as Boro would have completely folded. Is there a better player than Swift in the Championship? I doubt it.

Never a red card in an eon; the lad had every right to go for the ball and his studs were down. I think the ref reacted to the players' and crowd's reaction rather than use his own judgement. Anyway, always worth it to hear Colin oxf*rd's regular blame-the-ref excuses.

From Despair To Where? That's three confident performances from Southwood now. I think he's earned the shirt and with Rafael out of contract in the summer, no reason to change things. Should possibly be looking to shift Rafael in January.

Southwood def looks more comfortable in there and more confident…glad he’s taken his chance

Really enjoyed that match. Lots of passion but mixed in with quality passing throughout. I guess that’s what you’d expect with 8 midfielders in the side haha

Really impressed with Rahman…he’ll only get better. Allowed Ejaria the freedom to roam a bit. Halilovic was great. Can’t really fault any of the side.

I did feel Puscas should’ve played though, and think he would’ve had plenty of joy in behind the Boro defence. He didn’t look impressed being shoved on with 2 min to play.

Was a very un-Colin like performance from Boro. Plenty of holes in their defence, didn’t lump it into the box.

Hated Don Goodman’s reaction to the sending off. He really dislikes us doesn’t he! Crooks was entitled to go for the ball but it was dangerous due to the follow through movement after Southwood had claimed the ball. Goodman completely ignored that.

Great work lads

Oh, absolutely one of my bugbears.

Every, and I mean every, game has at least two or three where it's so blatantly obvious.
We call them out (ref can't hear us when we're watching on the TV so don't know why we do that) but can't understand what the officials are looking at

Havewatched the red card a few times.
Thought it was harsh, probably was harsh but whether it was right or wrong I just can’t see how the officials could see enough to make the decision.

At the final whistle was first down the tunnel. A relationship beyond repair?

PieEater Just waiting to see the interview with Warnock complaining about everything to cap off a great win.

He was livid that the linesman gave it, when he was 45 yards away and would have been unable to tell, unlike Warnock, who was 55 yards away and apparently could see it clearly.

I thought the "oxf*rd the EFL" chants were a bit emabarrassing. We don't know what our punishment even is yet, and it's clearly our fault we broke the rules by a mile.

While waiting to come on he looked absolutely fed up. Understandable really.

It’s understandable why we’re nothing playing him but also understandable why he’d be completely fed up.

PieEater if we'd of had a striker today we'd of scored a hatful.

I enjoyed reading this sentence because it made me think long and hard about what we’d is a truncation of.

The sentence in its full glory reads:

if we had of had a striker today we had of scored a hatful.

When it should have been:

If we had had a striker we would have scored a hatful.

I realise grammar is boring and grammar posts even more so but this was poetic

It’s insane playing a nonstriker up front when we’ve got the only fit striker on the bench fcuking ridiculous
