Gilkes and Kebe (with Quinn and Forster through the middle). If you want a winner with a bit more on the tricky side it’d have to be Blakey.

Think we might be able to give a team or two a game with them in the line up (so long as none of the recent incumbents are manager).

I'll raise you Antonio and HRK for wingers who decided they didn't want to be wingers.

Jagermesiter1871 Are people really not choosing to have Little?

This 100000%. Even in a shit team he'd have been worth the entry fee alone, but to watch him terrorise full backs in that 106 team was awesome.

Little and McAnuff were probably the most consistent wingers we had over a duration but Convey was electric for the 106 season

Kebe and McCleary were decent but never quite got the peaks/consistency as the other three IMO

Personally unsure about Beerens and Barrow on the list, Beerens was a good footballer but frustratingly lightweight and slow at times and Barrow is the epitome for where we’ve been going wrong in recent years (I.e players who could perform but didn’t have the right attitude)

In fairness Antonio’s game suits playing through the middle.

HRK is just a bit shit.

NathStPaul Little has to be in there, he took the piss at times. I will go for Tony Rougier too.

I had forgotten Rougier….

Didn’t play for long, was injured a lot and inconsistent but when he did play he has powerful, quick and so skillful

Salako did a great job in League One.

And Jobi Mcnuff was good, solid, skilful but not as breathtaking as Little, Convey, Gilkes and Cumming.

I am old enough to remember Cumming making Double Winner Sammy Nelson look clueless at Elm Park in 1972.

And Mass Saar? His RFC days represented just a brief little moment in time; literally only one or two stand out performances but they were certainly worth watching…

Convey v Millwall in early 2005, Convey away at Burnley later that season in a shocking pitch and away v Wolves, same season…

And Glen Little would beat people two or three times for the fun of it…

Teams would double up against him and it made no difference.

Kebe was more about breathtaking pace rather than breathtaking skills.

Convey and Gilkes had both.

fartdad Oster and Salako

That 106 team…

To think we had Convey and Little and then had Oster and Hunt on the bench.

Oster was a flawed character; but a very, very good signing; a clever, skilful wide player.

Going back a while, but Tommy Jenkins for me. Glen Little is also an absolute must.

Got to be Gilkes and Little, but Andy Rogers' brief contribution deserves to be in the conversation.

This is a hot take, but Kebe was more consistent than Little.

Remember Little in 2004/05, before we got promoted? He didn’t score a goal all season. Did get 8 assists which was the highest in the team but not especially remarkable. He essentially had one season where he was unplayable, and other than that he was often peripheral or injured.

On the other hand, Kebe’s performances for us in whole seasons at Championship level:

- 2 goals, 12 assists
- 12 goals, 7 assists
- 9 goals, 10 assists
- 3 goals, 10 assists (only 33 apps)

Numbers are never the full story of course, but you don’t post numbers like those without contributing on a regular basis.

This is the right answer, for anyone old enough to remember Tom Jenkins. Jenkins and Little for me.

Snowflake Royal I love Gilkes, but the guy really couldn’t cross by 95.
it's from any era, so I assume those picking him are going for a pre-95 Gilkes

Little and Kebe, yes they're both right wingers but so what.... I'll play 2 wingers on the right and leave Nicky Shorey to deal with the gap in the left.

Alan Scarrott for me was not very quick but very skillful and could deliver a pinpoint cross.

The 106 season Little was the best player in the league, when you watch the video of that season his crossing was off the charts. Kebe on his day was unplayable. The cross to Roberts Soton away was a thing of beauty.
