NathStPaul Seen a lot of people actually calling this a good signing ffs. You've never seen him play, you have no idea how good he is.

Two words, Joao Virginia.

Worst keeper we've ever had

Snowflake Royal Actually, I'd take this as a positive signing if it means Luke is being promoted to manager to replace Paunovic and so can't stay between the sticks.

Tell me you are clueless at football knowledge without telling me you are clueless at football knowledge

Did a quick scout around some stats.

There have been about 130 appearances by keepers under 22 in the Championship over the last three seasons out of 3312 possible starts. And the vast majority of those were keepers of 20 - 21. About a quarter of them came from one player.

Only 3 times did such a player make 19+ appearances. Two of those were from the same player in consecutive seasons.

2 of them were the godawful performances by Joao Virginia.

There's a reason for this. The Championship is far too high a level for a teenager to play in goal.

The most frustrating thing is it shows as a club we've learnt absolutely nothing from the Virginia debacle, which most people called at the time.

After Moore, Puscas and Pele - Karl Hein was the closest we could get to Karl Heinz Rummenigge

Given his absence, more likely sent back injured.

Makes sense.

If a player is injured, send them here to our expert team to sort out.

genome Possibly the most Partridge shrug of a signing I've ever seen

Wait til he's made first choice and let's 3 clangers in a game and Pauno does nothing about it.

Barney We've 19 games to go. We are a club that does tend to have more than its fair share of injuries,
If LS got injured we would have been knackered. We have cover. Simple as that. Not costing a fortune, only here for
three and a bit months. Most other postions SHOULD be covered with injured players returning.
And let's be honest, we are not in a position to pick and choose who we want.
Can't quite understand the ridiculous levels of negativity. Then I remembered......it's HobNob.

This new guy has been completely written off on here. No one on here has eeen him play. FFS let’s give him a chance. He might prove to be another Virginia but he might just surprise us.

It’s ridiculously negative. No one has any idea about him. He may prove to be a good signing.
