Morocco are through to the next stage so Chair will be unavailable for Saturday.

Like it will make much difference who they play. When you defend like we did Saturday even Charlie Austin will bag a hatful.

For those that know players, QPR have signed 22 year old Wolves centre back Dion Sanderson on loan for the rest of the season. Previously made 15 apps on loan at Brum this season.

So what formation is Pauno going with for QPR? he did state that having the two up top against Huddersfield made us dangerous and dynamic in attack, however, the flip side was that we were poor and open in defense.....

So do we go back to Pauno's 4-2-3-1 bore fest in a safety first strategy or do we go with the more cavalier style and try and go "Toe to Toe" with QPR with a classic 4-4-2 system?

We need points, we need to gain some confidence, i truly believe we have the players to get out of this mess but a lack of belief is a killer.
4-2-3-1 should be the way to go, however, at present i don't think we're good enough to beat QPR with this system.
QPR are a good side and we are expected to get comfortably beat, so this is a bit of a free hit for me....it's 4-4-2 again for me, minus "Danny Drinkwater" please. I'm going for a 7-5 defeat a la Doncaster away nearly 40 yrs ago :D

I personally think the 4-4-2 diamond might be the way to go this game and we could always change to a 4-2-3-1 depending on the situation and depending on if Halilovic and Ejaria both make the bench on Saturday as well.

I think it would be a better choice to have Laurent at the base, with Rino and TDB either side and Swift in front of both with Joao and Puscas obviously spearheading the attack. Hopefully the fact that Rino and TDB can press aggressively and work well in the inside, half spaces, of the pitch might be the difference for us defending the middle of the pitch better. We've also had a good week on the training field with our defence this week to hopefully work on what didn't work last week against Huddersfield.

Quietly confident about this one.

Not sure we were much worse defensively than we have been generally.

But we were much better in attack.

Start with the Diamond. Get shot of Drinkwater and screen the defence, not spectate / sit in its pocket.

Simple.

First 25 mins on Saturday was horrendous in a defensive sense. Huddersfield looked like they would score every time they attacked. It was painful albeit we played some good stuff going forward. We were wide open. It was like Fulham second half ie just as bad.
