I’d love Ainsworth to become our next manager. He always talks a lot of sense and I trust him to build a team to be proud of again, although it may take a while. Probably famous last words but I’d have thought Ince would have been announced by now

Great news. Re~build starts now. Bowen also confirmed. Signs coming out of club must be positive.

British DOF, British manager, proven in parts of career. It’s all good.

Gilkes???

Anyway it’s good this has been resolved and Ince will be supported by a proper football man in Mark Bowen.

What a bleak appointment (on the face of it). Far better candidates out there who no doubt were overlooked by the decision makers.

As I see it, Managers we could have gone for >>> Ince >>> managers we would probably have gone for

I don't think Ince is the best option out there, even among realistic options, but I had no faith in the club picking somebody better

A bit underwhelmed personally but I suppose for a bit of consistency and continuity it's probably not the worst decision we've made in the world on the face of it.

Hopefully we can build on the work done that confirmed survival and look to improve on this years performance. We will probably all want him gone by October mind you.

Happy with this. Ince knows the issues, who we're likely to be able to keep and who's off. Also seemed to want some questions answered first, so he must have been ok with the answers - and to work with Bowen. Although not an exciting appointment, I think this continuity is important this summer.

I`m happy with it, Paul was bought in with a seriously under achieving squad, did the job with only the last few games being a bit of a downer after our safety was confirmed.
He now has a chance to build his own squad over the summer with his own son involved i would guess.
I`m all for getting someone in to take the club forward rather than the yearly managerial changes.

What's to say this won't just be another yearly change? No guarantee of anything.

Ince is our manager so let’s just get behind him and the team now. I am not enthralled about his appointment but at least Dai has acted quickly and we have more of a structure at the club with Bowen’s appointment. Now really looking forward to seeing how this all pans out. Plenty of time between now and the start of the season.

Ince called out publicly the issues there are at Reading. Made it clear things would need to change for him to stay.

He's staying so suggests things may be changing. If he only ever ends up being a catalyst for positive change at the club then it will be a successful move.

^ this all day long. Only positives can be drawn from the Ince and Bowen appointments.
