Snowflake Royal
NathStPaul Lap of appreciation confirmed for after the game tomorrow.

Anyone remember that time the players were too scared to come out after the Ipswich game a few years ago? At least things aren't that bad now which is a plus.

They were forced out in the end

Ah the Paul Clement days! Joyous times! Guess I should be grateful for this current team rather than moan about them all the time. Clement's squad were throughly dislikeable.

West Brom left back Conor Townsend is apparently imminently expecting so will miss the game tomorrow. Youngster Zac Ashworth is therefore expected to make his league debut for the Baggies.

Couldn’t his wife have the baby and let him get on with the football?
Wouldn’t have happened in Trevor Francis’ day.....

Never normally that fussed about laps of appreciation/ honour but will be happy to applaud Swift in particular for his contribution to our club.

Albeit it was a Clement game but that was very much the Stam squad that was dislikeable

Don’t actually think the overall game was as bad as it was made out but not sure I can recall a worse 20 minutes than the last 20 of that one, never seen a team of players give up as quickly as that one

Think you’ll struggle to find a more lightweight midfield than that day though, 4-4-2 with Aluko RM, Barrow LM and Kelly and Swift in midfield. Looking at that, surprised it took us 70 minutes to concede

Not so much lightweight, as weightless.

Confirmed no Carroll for wba tomorrow and he’s being released at the end of the year

Would ask him if he wants another go here

Would be sensible enough for another year for sure, may have more leeway in what we can offer him as well, would be a fan of that move.

Would rather not sign Carroll unless we have no other options. Would much rather we have a look at Premier League loans or released young Premier League talent.

I think he’s better than being the last option. Having 70 mins of Joao then 20 mins of Carroll, or having them both for 20 mins would be quite interesting. If he could give us a season of what we had for 6 weeks then I’d do it. Would be good for the young strikers to train with him.

If we’re confident of hanging on to Joao it's a yes for me. Whilst they're obviously different players, they fulfill much the same role.

So Thomas in for Yiadom.... bit of a surprise choice. If Yiadom is injured I missed that.

Otherwise pretty much what's available first XI wise.

Bit disappointed no Camara, no Tetek starting, no Barker starting etc.

Well that was pretty desperately poor quality. Very dead rubber.

Thomas looks handy, but a few errors. Assume he was worried about running into the post when he chested instead of heading on goal.

Still look very vulnerable on the midfield change over whenever any one runs at us. Loads of standing off too.

And very little conviction going forward. It's all rather one paced and that pace is slow. Except for Laurent and sometimes Hoilett. Surprised the latter hasn't whipped in more crosses from the right.

Ejaria's been ok, but my god, he may as well be genetically engineered to wind me up.

That corner. Was doing some crossing last night and I think I only did 2 that bad. And I should not be the standard here.

And that pass from Laurent, perfect to set him away down the line into space on a break. But of course Ovie would rather receive the ball to feet and static instead.
