2006 v 2012 21st May

by AthleticoSpizz » 06 May 2022 17:20

Apologies if already out there in ‘nobber circles…couldn’t find anything recently.

150 Anniversary Season

A bit of light entertainment after seasons of misery and mercenaries.

Not totally sure of the line-ups, they are still assembling, but just today ‘Superman’ (Sonks) has joined the list, joining Murts, Ivar, Marcus, Legs, Hunt x2, Jobi etc etc

Hopefully, beer will be allowed on the terraces…

£10’s worth of joy

It's shaping up to be a really special day, with so many fan favourites back, and also Hal Robson-Kanu :D

Also looking forward to it. Really hope that they are holding back announcing Harps, Sidwell and Shorey to pretty much complete the 106 line up.
How will they bulk out the McDermott side ? Will they let Tom Mc and Tom H join in as local lads ?

Yep particularly Harps for me. The 2011/12 looks a bit thin at the moment. Not sure many tickets have been sold for this. Hope it’s a decent turn out.

Harps is still playing (for Ascot United). So if is does take apart, and it’s hard to see why he wouldn’t unless they still have games, he should be in decent nick.
Lita is also still playing at a similar level at 37....

Will Bryn play a half for each team if he signs up?

I am sure that I read on the club's website that Bryn has signed up to play, but I can't find it on there now, so don't know which side he will play for, i'm afraid.

Pleasantly surprised to see Convey playing - given his health concerns I'd assumed he wouldn't be able to. Similarly, didn't think Doyle would play - suppose he just won't head it!

Yeah, really (pleasantly) surprised to see Bobby Convey rocking-up.
Wonder if Mrs Marcus will be providing the Chocolate Brownies for the squad (not a euphemism).

Travelling down from Scotland for this - one last chance to see those players out on the pitch together just can't be missed.

Really hope someone at the club or even perhaps STAR could make a video of the day including game itself, perhaps behind the scenes interviews too. Be good to have something recorded for posterity and also for those unable to make game itself.

Had no idea this was happening. May actually come to a match for the first time in 9 years.

Got my ticket - but see despite booking particular seats it’s unreserved seating (according to the PDF print)
Not sure if that’s good or bad.

cannot see seating being too much of an issue tbf…dependant on how much of the stadium they open-up, sales weren’t ‘selling-out’ last time I looked.

Suz, Ian Royal, Tulip, DD, EiL and the man on the roof ……..c’mon down !!!
