Any chance we could pay £5.00 or £10 into a PayPal account and we have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd payout?

I'm not ok with handling money for this, sorry.

Briefly thought about setting a prize from my pocket, but there's a limited number of people on here I'd actually be comfortable meeting / transferring money to.

If you want to set something up for anyone who wants to play for cash, feel free. Happy to still run the scoring

Yes, I didn’t really think it through and completely understand about not wanting to handle any money. I personally wouldn’t mind paying the winner £20 into their PayPal account if they have one. I assume that way people wouldn’t have to meet up face to face. Tbh I wouldn’t mind meeting anyone but fully understand that not everyone would want to do that. Anyway, I am happy to make a £20 pledge to the winner as it will be well earned.

Methodology:
- Randomised the list of teams
- Moved Reading to the top
- While I was typing up the randomised list to post, I accidentally randomised it again, and this time Reading were randomly at the top. I used that list instead.

We have the standard to beat. Anyone who does worse than random choice should hang their head in shame.

There's actually more chance of that table being upside down.

Think it would be a reasonable prediction if Reading and Hull were swapped with Watford and Burnley.

Swap Burnley and Wigan and that's probably not a half bad prediction to be fair.

Burnley are in a financial mess so could have to sell all their best players. Expect they'll find it tough

Yeah that's fine with me, you can all put 10 into mine and I'll look after it

I think that is a lot personally.

Would be more in favour of a pair of tickets to a 2023/24 match or a club shop voucher up to the same value, something club related. Doing that will mean those who want to put money in won't have to put in too much, you're looking at £40 between quite a few people. The prize also goes back into the club too making it a bit more Reading FC centric.

I did say just before Ian officially committed to the contest that I'd have been happy to run it and put up the prize myself so I will just commit to that for ease if Ian is happy with that.

That sounds more sensible tbf and as I said I am happy to put £20 towards the prize.

FYI, if you don't pick a play off winner I'll take third place as your pick.

I might start a competing predicter league

Based on the games and the odds...the player table would be based on the betting balance

I actually need a little Blockchain project to work on. A smart contract could be used to alloc8 the funds to users' BTC address

The division looks pretty rubbish next year. Found it much easier to fill the bottom half than the top half
