Guess it means we're not paying him yet?

Shane Long missing too, hopefully just a precaution. Presumably he has an injury.

So you’d think they’d start the triallist left back at left back.

Hound I don’t see any players refusing to play here in the heat either tbh

We’ve played World Cup games in stifling conditions and got on with it for example

With this specified game just don’t think there’s much to be gained from doing it, and arguably asking public to travel when been told not to unless absolutely necessary

Bullshit Link please.

Read today that El-Mhanni is the player who Beardsley was found to have bullied. Career hasn't really recovered since then.

Bouzanis saves a penalty taken by a player we were linked too earlier in the summer Zach Robinson.

Guinness-Walker on for 25 mins against the club he left this summer.

Tell that to the couple of thousand expecting to die from it

It’s not like we are especially soft just the country isn’t set up for it. Buildings designed to retain heat etc

I get that and is not what I'm talking about.

We're talking here about professional footballers playing on a field. What does most of the rest of the world do in worse conditions most of the time? They don't have airconditioned football fields :)

I read that Qatar are using air conditioned stadiums to help ease the heat during games and to make it more bearable for players and supporters. I wouldn't be surprised if this technology already exists in countries where the heat does make a significant difference.

This is a couple of days in one summer for us, other countries have it this hot throughout all of summer, just look at how wildfires are ripping through certain areas of more southern European countries for example.

Bullshit it's winter 24c max.

I know it's only preseason but I'm going to stick my neck out and say Jeff Hendrick is going to be a huge fan favourite.

Are Chris Gunter and Alex Pearce playing? They signed for Wimbledon this summer.

Yes. Qatar got the nod on the condition that they would build stadiums with a/c, so it could be played in the summer. Then, once the brown envelopes had made their journeys to the correct back pockets, the promise was conveniently forgotten and the cup was moved to winter.

I know it’s only preseason but things already look more promising than they have done in recent years.
