If Holmes is out I fear for us. But the easy choice is Yiadom, McIntyre, Mbengue and Hoilett and NGW (Rahman  ) at wing back.

No need to bring in anyone from the cold early. Least of all Moore.

And Joao probably wouldn't play anyway.

Not sure a long trip to the frozen north is the best thing for Moore’s dodgy hamstring. If he’s looking good, keep him here and save him for the big games

Writing this Sunderland one off tbh

4th time now I think with Ejaria, trains Mon-Wed/Thurs, tweaks a muscle so not available for game, out for a week, start again.

He's obviously not going to play again.

I think Sarr will come back in to be honest and I think he would have done regardless of Holmes' injury. I reckon the back 3 will be Yiadom, Sarr and McIntyre with Hoilett and Rahman as wing backs, although I actually think Mbengue and Dann should be in that back 3 instead.

If we can get Moore on the bench, I'm all for it, although it might be better if he gets some minutes with the U21's on Friday instead. No point taking an unfit player up to Sunderland, even on the bench, as we have Dann as well don't we as he hasn't got injured again yet?

Cannot understand your positive view of Dann.

Experienced defender and I can't say he's done any worse than what McIntyre or Sarr has done either since he's come back from injury, granted his time in the side has been limited.

FYI, it's not that it's so much a "positive view", it's more that I can't see him doing any worse than what we've already got and without the likes of Hutchinson and Moore, we don't really have any experienced CB's that can come into the heart of the defence and support some of the younger players like Holmes, McIntyre and Mbengue. Sarr has plenty of Championship experience but I'm less than convinced by him and he's been costing us more goals than what Dann has (granted in a slightly longer period of time).

Sounds like a fresh injury setback for Liam Moore, not sure of the extent but not expecting him to be involved for #readingfc tonight.

 He’s never going to play for Reading again is he? Think the time is right now to just say he’s out for the season and try and get a half decent free agent in.

Sutekh Current revision:

Name - Injury - Current expected return

  1. EJARIA, Ovie - Knee - Queens Park Rangers (h)
  2. FORNAH, Tyrese - Knee - Rotherham United (h)
  3. HOLMES, Tom - Illness - Queens Park Rangers (h)
  4. MOORE, Liam - Hamstring - Blackpool (h)
  5. TETEK, Dejan - Hamstring - Sheffield United (h)

Something tells me that Liam Moore is probably not going to kick a ball for us again.

Will refer back to this re Moore.

And frees up a space in the “25” for a free agent.

Who was it telling me Moore would be in by Cardiff and play a big role in the rest of the season?

ROFL.

Where’s the out for the season but from?

If so really crap news for all involved. Blown 10% of our extremely limited playing budget on someone who didn’t play a game. Awful

Perhaps now the club can concentrate on filling his place in the 25 with a free agent midfielder - Isco maybe

Are we actually allowed to do that or did we just get special dispensation from the EFL for Casadei?

For the record, I can't see why we wouldn't be allowed to do it again providing we still fall within our agreed business plan.
