New rumours of bids for Joao (Besiktas) and Puscas (various)

Not sure we can lose both

Connor Wickham can replace them?

53 goals in 265 games would suggest not.

I'll play central midfield of you go left-back.
Hopefully there will be younger players to do my running for me.

Actually, in many ways Wickham would be a like for like replacement for Puscas. In that he neither plays nor scores much.

Be fun trying to replace our entire midfield and strike force in one summer on a tiny budget. Where's your sense of adventure.

Absolutely not. I did score a peach on Friday though. Probably should have had a hat-trick.

Love seeing Twitter explode after every departure.

End of the day, these players we hold in such high regard collectively would have got us relegated last season if it wasn’t for a monster Derby points deduction.

Now I know we are desperate for replacements and yet to see anything there yet, but we’ve been in need of wholesale change for a while. Club is getting its sh*t together with staff and a management hierarchy, next step is to remove the players that don’t want to be here. Saw a rumour Joao wants out, if that is the case cash in and let him go, we know it’ll be a tough season and we need people that are willing to fight for the cause - such as Yiadom, TInce and Holmes. Last thing we need is people stinking the place out if they don’t want to be here.

Let’s trust the process, the Club got into this mess due to over ambition to get in the Prem and overspending. I see positive shoots happening now, accepting mistakes that have been made. No way Paul Ince would have signed if he didn’t believe in the project rebuild.

Yes this is a very optimistic post but I’m fed up of the doom merchants.

Team for first game of the season:

RoyalBlue
Ian, Millsy, Lower West, FDTW
Paul, South Coast, Jimmy, Seth
Nameless, Leon

Seth has to do all the running.

I'm in interested in what's behind the view that me and Paul will form an effective partnership down the right?

Would think Nameless would be better placed at the back for his relentless defence of the club.

I don't think just calling people a pcunt gets you many goals, so also question leon's position

Not sure how easily Ian will hold up the right side from his sofa in Cambridge while the rest of us dig in on Blackpool beach …,

I would like to throw my hat in the ring here. I might only manage 45 mins though. I can play with either foot, John Hollins scouted me for Chelsea and QPR after seeing me play in a schools cup final in the late 70s (my father wouldn't take me). Played for West Wycombe and had decent strike rate playing as 10. If your desperate let me know.

Yep, if players don’t want to be here they can oxf*rd right off. There are a couple I would liked to have stayed but the reality is none of them have covered themselves in glory over the last 18 months. I have no problem with a complete overhaul of the squad.

Seeing Ian’s starting 11 on another thread has given me some optimism and with a few additions in central midfield and a left back we might be alright.

Ouch, that’s a proper low for me. Can’t even break into that team

Isn’t Vic about 70 as well?

It’s this thread I am going mad.

I played right back for my school and for a team that played in the local Reading leagues. I used to run the 100 meters in 11.6 seconds and can now do it in about 24. I was more like Franz Carr very quick but no end product whatsoever.
