Are you high? They were outsung by Blackburn and yet again caused trouble when we scored. I'm writing a letter to the club today to put this farce to an end.

I`m wondering i you need to see a psychiatrist because you are quite clearly sick in the head, nobody can be that stupid and actually admit it like you are clearly doing.

So people aren't allowed to hold ANY difference of opinion in your life?

You just hurl abuse and vitamin at them like Club1871 do on twitter and IRL

Why would anyone hurl vitamins ?

I came on here to read the positive stuff from last night’s performance but, surprise, surprise another thread permeated by drivel from DD. Please just oxf*rd of back to AE and leave at least part of this board untainted.
Better still oxf*rd off to Reddit where if you ask AITA enough times it might to sink in that you are TA.

paultheroyal Oh and club 1871 - you were outstanding. Rest of the ground joined in. What an initiative.

Can someone on this board just delete this account please. Utterly pointless to have him on here.

ACTUALLY people on reddit think IANTA and think that people like genome etc are the real dicks

I am allowed to say it was a good performance without saying club1871 was good, I have freedom of speech and human rights

Incredible game, incredible atmosphere.

Couldn't fault any of them, from back to front that was a complete performance. As other have mentioned, maybe Henrick was slightly off it, but still worked hard and you can allow someone a 6 or 7/10 when everyone else has a 9+/10 :D

Lumley made a very, very good save to keep us in it at 1-0.

Was disappointed with Blackburn, though BBD was terrible, hopefully scouts weren't watching that one :?

Was right behind Long's shot in the second half and thought it was in all the way, outstanding save from their keeper.

Got to be one of the best games under the lights, totally dominated them from minute 1.

They said there would be a response after Saturday and they certainly backed that up with the way they played last night. Incredible.

My view on the atmosphere, having not been in years - pre c1871.

The atmosphere was excellent, c1871 were definitely the instigators but from my spot in the posh seats, the sound was coming from all 4 sides. If that atmosphere remains for the rest of the season and with that level of performance, away teams will have to work very hard to take a win home.

Human rights is about not been killed, being able to eat and drink. You exercise your human right to free speech and have to accept that if you do that others will judge you on what you say. Inevitably they don’t judge you kindly, but that is your fault not their’s.

Brogue We just started on the front foot which was nice to see. So often we are slow out the blocks. High press at times no tippy tappy bullshit and we were man marking from set pieces!!. Every man knew his job today. We were organised and played as a team not the usual 11 players just wandering around the pitch clueless. Back to basics it’s what we’ve all been asking for and finally ince has delivered.

I'm not sure we did, we were commenting how it's annoying after multiple seasons that the first 10 mins always seems to be the away team having the ball - although we managed to keep them at arms length comfortably. The goal really kicked us on and they couldn't handle us after that as well as looking confused about what they are meant to do when falling behind.

It would be great if we can take the attacking performance that we produced from the 14th minute onwards from the get go on Saturday. Boro are yet to win and whilst decent, we can get at them.

Quick note for our set plays, we look so much more dangerous than in recent years (no dig at Swift) but I can recall a couple of set plays that didn't end with either a chance/half chance or a stretched clearance - also seemed to be a definite choice not to shoot when 20/25 yards out, rather get it in the box and back us to win the first ball, and the second if needed.

Agreed - i actually thought we were nervous for the first 10 mins and then the players looked up at clock and thought "right, we have done this, lets play" - and thats exactly what we did.

Just no nonsense football last night. Almost like the Reading of old. Can you imagine if we get a win on Saturday, possibility we be sitting 2nd

And set pieces - how refreshing. Corners that are dangerous and a long throw specialist, about time!!

One of the main changes that I can see is under Pauno there was a definite emphasis on trying to get the ‘perfect’ ball into the box, often keeping hold of it and trying to pass it in (felt the players got a lot of criticism for this when I suspect it was an tactical decision from above). Part of it I believe is because it can leave you less susceptible to the counter though don’t quite agree

Clearly now we’re trying to get the ball in early. Makes us better to watch and I think is creating us more chances

I think the key thing about the first 10 minutes is we neither camped arround out box, nor went cavalier. We defended higher up the pitch and with greater organisation, without leaving any holes.

What an uplifting performance.
If I were at the EFL I would be instigating an enquiry (much in the way that happens with horse racing) into why we have gone from looking like strong candidates for relegation to upper level Championship all in such a short period of time and with exactly the same players.

What surprised me were the possession stats-it felt to me that we were in control for almost all of the game whereas in the past few years we usually had greater possession but did f*** all with it.

Many of us have criticised our defence but, as another poster touched upon, the defensive shield from midfield was clearly better than that provided by 2 players that were always rated in Rhino and Laurent.

As for Blackburn I thought their passing was atrocious.

One swallow doesn't make a Summer and all that but roll on Saturday.

Expect the possession stats massively skewed by us letting them fanny about with the ball for the last 20 mins (inc the bizarre and desperately dull 7 mins of injury time)

Happened at the end of the first half as well, found it very odd.

Blackburn manager had a gameplan and he stuck to it.

For some bizarre reason.
