Bookies Odds for Us

by Gunny Fishcake » 05 Oct 2022 09:14

After last nights very encouraging performance , I thought I'd take a look at latest odds this morning for us.

They say the bookies are never wrong, but there does appear to be some good value if you believe in our team and fancy a punt

All odds are SkyBet

Win Championship 100/1 , fair enough

Play Offs 9/1 , reasonable bet

Promotion 25/1, worth a punt

Top Half table finish 11/8, outstanding bet

With players to come back from injury and confidence building each game, may be worth a pound or two on some of these.

Thats shifted massively now - 4/6 on only 4 games ago - so thats the telling piece.

Top 6 finish bet is worth a cheeky tenner

Top half finish I think is the most tempting there.

I, as we all are am delighted how the season is going and it’s very positive.

My view before the season was that despite what the outsiders thought, I did t see us as relegation fodder but also was realistic and would have been happy with a top 15 finish.

Still my thinking really that I’d be happy with that but of course better would be lovely.

I think 9/1 to make the playoffs is outstanding value. Bookies reckon we're more likely to go down, after our start, than finish top 6?

Edit: now best price 7/1 to finish top 6, with Coral.

100/1 to win the League? Of course we probably won't, but 100/1? When we are third?

I'm gonna have a tenner on that.

50/1 with Ladbrokes.

I took 80/1 at the start of the season which if SkyBet are still going 100/1 is a bit miserable. :D

7/1 Top 6, while WBA are 7/4, QPR 6/4.

WBA only 7/4 for top six?

I know they are going to pull out of their current position, but those are poor odds.

7/1 to make the POs, but 40/1 to win the POs. Gotta happen one day right?

2 seasons in a row now traditional play-off bottlers have won them in Forest and Brentford, maybe this season it's our turn to end our curse.

Is there a cure ?

And, just to be clear, switching to my local side is NOT an option ...... under any circumstances
