The end of the begining

by All 5 goals » 15 Jul 2006 01:18

135 years is a very long begining....

THIS IS IT,

3 Dreams from the moment I first started supporting Reading and they have all happened

To watch Reading at Wembley Achieved Simod cup final hence my Hob Nob Name.

To play for Reading Achieved last year agianst Didcot.

To see us in the First division/Premiership Achieved and has just hit home watching Sky Sports News whcih was showng Aston Villa's fixture list and there we were...

God I feel so emotional...

The future's bright

The future's Blue and White....

As a new supporter of Reading for two years now its the first time I followed a club through promotion, and its been great. Their is nothing in america like promotion and relegation so its something new to me.

You, sir, are a Reading legend! Spotted on TV at the World Cup, too. Would that be right?

I think that this past season's achievements; and the successes of the last few years have fulfilled the dreams of most supporters. As a schoolboy back in the 60s, I used to dream of promotion to the old Second Division whilst Wembley was just an Underground stop. As for playing for the team...that reallywas a dream too far. Congrats on your hat-trick.

yes Iwas at the world cup.

Apologies for the first post but I was, and probably still am drunk. When I'm drunk I go into nostalgic/emotional/crap typing mode.
Oh well onwards and upwards....

PS note to myself to stop coming on Hob Nob when I'm drunk.

Posting when one is drunk is not a problem! Some of my most insightful thoughts come when I'm p!ssed - the problem comes when I try to transfer thoughts, via my keys and the keyboard, onto the board! Ooops!

Your best post was about two years ago when you were drunk - and with your previous and rarely used username

Unfortunately it was then deleted!
