Does anybody remember this guy? Apparently we loaned him from Arsenal about 6/7 years ago.

I can't remember him myself - did he ever play for us?

He played in the same Arsenal U19 side with Sidwell and Bothroyd.

Season Club Matches played Goal(s)

2005-2006 Nantes 2 0
2004-2005 Angers (D2)/Nantes 21/2 0/0
2003-2004 Lorient (D2) 20 0
2002-2003 Créteil (D2) 24 0
2001-2002 Lorient 2 0
2000-2001 Arsenal 0 0

I don't recall him ever playing for us, even on loan and can't find anything to prove otherwise.

I believe that we had him on trial for a brief period.

I seem to remember him being an unused sub in a game for us. If you go to the news archive on this site you will find him mentioned in the October 2000 - December 2000 section.

It's looking a bit dated now, but Ray Curry's database of ex-players is as comprehensive as they come. According to this, Norbert had a trial with us in December 2000.

I remember him, he was a right winger we had on trial, althought I think it was the Bristol Rovers programme on Boxing Day had him down as a goalkeeper on our team sheet

He used to live in Merseyside, and there is a well-known song about Scouser's predilection for rats...

(My parents are Scouse, and I'd like to point out that this is untrue. Although, come to think of it, it may explain why I always hated my mum's casseroles so much...)
