The Real Sandhurst Royal £5 - £8 a ticket might get a gate of £15k gate . Come on RFC do something for the fans.

I thought they normally make Carling Cup matches £5?

And Darlington will get 50% of the gate receipts so I imagine it'll be something like £10-12 in advance/

I am not sure i'll bother with this game, i'll buy a ticket though.

I would have preffered it to have been away, then i would have gone.

Row Z Royal Home to Darlington.

GLAMOUR!!!

Should be a nice easy route to Round 3.

I hope the club reduce the ticket prices dramatically for this one or they will witness a 6000 attendance. Most of which will be Darlo fans enjoying their big day out and quite rightly so.

spickroyal Does anyone actually care???

With a wafer thin squad like ours, I just wish we could pull out of the cups altogether.

Yes I do care and I disagree - this match will be very useful to get the likes of De La Cruz and Bikey not to mention Cox, Long, Osano etc. some competitive match practice.
I can't see us playing more than 4 regular first team players.

But this was before we were a PL team.

The 'best team in the Championship' reduced prices to £10 and attracted 20,000.

Could we do something similar?

Even before the days of ELm Park when the Royals played at their former ground of Feethams

The last time we played them it was away at Feethams in the season we won promotion to the old Div 2 (it was the season of the 13 in a row); in fact, we secured promotion that day at Feethams in one of the dullest most boring 0-0 draws ever.

They were getting relegated to Div 4, and the programme notes said something like "with the 2 teams going their seperate ways, one wonders when we will play each other again".

The only time I have ever hitch hiked to a game.

Does that lanky bald headed Conlon still play for them? I always hated him after runing our day away at Colchester, when we had to beat them to stand a chance of an automatic spot instead of finishing 3rd. 00/01 season. That tiny away end with the shed for refreshments was packed to the rafters and there was a huge hole in the pitch right in front of where I was standing.

No it wasnt! The last game we played against Darlington was a 4-2 win at Feethams on 10th March 1992 (Maskell got a hat-trick). They were relegated to the basement at the end of that season (10 points adrift at the very bottom) and we finished mid table (12th).
