Coppell Manager of the Month???

by Reading West » 01 Oct 2006 22:29

Question?? do they still do the manager of the month for the premiership, if so what are the chances of Coppell winning it for September, With 2 wins and a draw he stands a good chance, if todays game was played yesterday it would be even better(only Muriniho & Allerdyce stand in his way)but they may look favourably at the newly promoted team especially based on resources.

So who do you think

Coppell, Allerdyce or Muriniho.

Will probably be Martin O'Neil consdiering that Villa are unbeaten this year and have had some good results, notably agaist Arsenal and Chelsea away

Cue the usualrabid mouth frothing Reading supporters baying for blood that we have been overlooked again.

I'm normally more than happy for pundits to predict Reading defeats etc., but I do think Coppell is the worthy winner. O'Neill has done a terrific job at Villa, but we're level on points with them and most pundits expected them to finish a good number of places above us at the end of the season. Their fixture list has been harder than ours, but nearly 2 points a game from a newly promoted team, tipped by most to go down, is nothing short of remarkable. Well done Steve.

This is being decided by a panel of footie journalists and fans' representatives at a lunch tomorrow in London.

I know for a fact that there will be at least one strong advocate of SC present at this lunch.

Will the result on 1 October count towards the September award?
