No Hoops We've gone for the 4.00 and the 9.30 staying at the Holiday Inn (Express) near the ground. Cheap cheap cheap, but it has a bar.

Yep, I'm booked-in there too!
And me, and Mrs BDC and Son-of-BDC but we are taking the Cheesemobile and will probably do some sightseeing on the way home. Will checkout the flat 'ats, whippets, trubbeld mills etc in the area. Does anybody have an English/Geordie phrase book I can borrow?

I'm meeting a Gordie friend up there so he can translate for us. Somting like

Dirk Gently The actual dates are here :

http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/FixturesResults/index.html

What it does mean (as pointed out by someone last week) is that Blackburn will play on 14th December so almost certainly our match at home to them on 16th (My brithday  ) will be moved to the Sunday.

Blackburn's game is on 13th December so may yet be no change to ours.

BA from H'row for me too - flying up 12.45 and back 12.05 (civilised lie in and full English aka the hangover cure!). Booked a room in Jury's but what with the Long Bar, casino etc I reckon it would work out cheaper to hire a tart by the hour.

Just looked at the Newcastle fixtures leading up to our game:

Thursday 30th November - Eintracht Frankfurt (a)
Saturday 2nd December - Chelsea (a)

then (obviously)

Wednesday 6th December - Reading (h)

Possibly the best time to be playing them seeing as we have a home game on the previous Saturday.

If they have a game on the Thursday night, they will move their league game to the Sunday.....so giving them even less time to recover before we go there on the Wednesday.

I'm on the pm FlyBE flight from Soton, and staying in the Holiday Inn Express, catching the red eye home on the Thursday morning.

How much are flights? And is it possible to get back on the same day?

'Cos I might just have to drive

Got two adult returns Bristol/Newcastle with Easyjet for £96 (all in - that is what my cc was charged.)

NTRoyal And is it possible to get back on the same day?

No, so you will need to add overnight b&b... e.g.: £63 for double/twin room (i.e.: 2 people) at Holiday Inn Express.

Does make it quite an expensive trip, but a bit more relaxed than driving/coach/train for such a long haul!

:)

I am on the Sabena flight from Brussels on the Tuesday evening, so get two nights in the Toon. Travelling and staying with Geordie mate who knows people with an executive box at St James'. Not sure if I'll wear colours, as it is 100% Home end.

But I hope to meet up with those of you I know. And those I do not................

So it will be Colin's Coaches!!
