Reading players who use hobnob

by KC Royal » 12 Oct 2006 17:22

I've just been re-reading something that was popsted about this last year, and it was clear that players and staff both past and present used hobnob.

Anyway it got me thinking, I vaguely remember someone claiming to be an ex player posting on here just after Mad Dog was sacked. Was this person ever genuine?

I must admit to missing that particular thread to.Do point us at the thread concerned.
Its helpful rather than doing a smartarsed "Dodd" to at least provide the relevant link.

I got to speak to Kevin Dillon live on BBCRB at the end of last season, and asked him directly if any of the players used this site.

He stated that pretty much all of them used it in the past, and they all used to slag each other off online, and that they were now actively discouraged from using it. No idea if that was true

I know of one WAG who lurks on here!

Harps is my favourite and works a lot harder than he's given credit for.

I remember one poster (I think it was AndyRFC but happy to be proved wrong) stating that there was a clause in club's employees' employment contracts expressly forbidding from posting here. Does this apply to players' contracts as well?

Surely unenforcable unless they give out confidential info. If you know anyone on here meeting their employment lawyer soon perhaps they could check

I think it would be great, as it would show that they are getting closer to the real fans, instead of making us que for an our or so for 2 minutes with them at an "open day"
