He does, see the entry for Didier Drogba:
CF: Didier Drogba (Chelsea)
Already a worthy candidate for player of the season, no matter what happens in the second half of the season. The Drog is on fire, so much so that he makes Andriy Shevchenko look like a Sunday league striker. Poor Andriy.
Honourable mentions: Louis Saha (Man Utd), Kevin Doyle (Reading)

drogba should not receive player of the year until he's cleaned his act up. if he does it sends out the wrong message.

No mention for Shorey!

Biggest joke is Gary Speed over Cesc Fabregas - do me a favour!

Read the whole article and the comments. He gets a (belated) honourable mention.

Scholes>Fabregas.

He has bossed almost every game he has played this season, can't believe he hasn't got a mention.

Baines best left back in the league, another joke selection.

Kanu ahead of Doyle? Again laughable.

John Terry in the side on reputation alone.

Agree with Alad, no way should Terry be in there, and Scholes has been the best central midfielder.

anyone read the comments at the bottom?

a bloke called Gavin Lane wrote:

I would agree with Leighton Baines, but how has Bridge got a mention when Nicky Shorey has breezed into the Premiership, with some tabloids even commenting on his 'England credentials'! Who is your manager? Has to be between Ferguson, Redknapp and Coppell, surely?

and then the Pies Editor replied with:

Gavin, Shorey was just behind Cole and Bridge in the running - I thought Bridge deserved a mention for his early-season form, although Shorey has been tremendous for the whole campagn and I'm more than happy to award him an 'honourable mention' here!

Oh, and I think Coppell would be manager, with mentions for Harry and Sir Alex

not sure why he thinks Shorey is still behind Bridge though!

Terry does not deserve to be in there. Just because he is captain of Chelsea.
Bridge hardly gets a game!

We should all rejoice that there are no Liverpool players to be seen in the list .

No offence to Murts at all, it's absolutely amazing to see him in there but... I'm a bit shocked to why Shorey isn't there rather than Murty.

Well, let's face it, everything short of "Nicky walks on water" never fails to shock his fan club but, back on planet earth, no one has been more missed this season than Murts, who is regularly our best full back.

Only 3 because divers and cheats might steal you league table points, but not much more.

Chelsea - the team who cheated their way to back to back league titles and possibly a 3rd.

I wish people would stop trying to pretend Chelsea are Reasding's rivals.
