I remember on Boxing Day ,think it was 1962. It had been snowing for about 12 hours, but before the game it stopped so the game went ahead. We were playing Bristol Rovers we took the lead and it was 1-0 at half time. Second half began it started to snow very very slightly, the ref called the game off after an hour it was a terrible decision ,the conditions were no worse than at the start of the game.
There was then no football due to the Big Freeze until March, as it happened we had to beat Rovers in the replayed match to stay up, justice was done we won 1-0.

1 - 1 Doyle & Johnson

(not very imaginative, I know)

If the home crowd give it their all (unlike last Saturday which was pathetic) and we get behind the team in the 2nd half then we might nick the winner through Lita!

Reading 0 Everton 2

Johnson
Lescott

RFC will have to be at their very best to get anything from a highly competitive Scouse outfit.

We look a bit scabby at the moment........... We need to regain our shape and fight very quickly as in by Saturday if we want to get a result here.

I think we are slightly depleted in terms of players, energey levels, fitness levels, skill levels, hard work levels and I don't think we will fully regain it this side of 2007.......... our next 3 points will come at home to Sheffield United on Jan the 20th. We will pick up a point against the Hammers and hopefully one at Goodison as well. If we are very lucky we will get a point on Saturday also.

I predict 2 fierce "dive or no dive" debates over AJ.

Plus a dodgy linesman decision.

Thanks.

i predict everton to go two up through penalties for two AJ dives,
only for the fog to decend and reading trying to score three by spending the second half launching hopeful shots through the murk from beyond the half way line in the hope of three of them randomly going in.
they do, we win 3-2

im off to the bookies

Really hard game this, but I have faith in the lads, its a long trip for the scousers and their minds will be on the festivities ahead, I think we'll bounce back and shade it by the odd goal.

2-1.

There will be a dodgy decision because last time I checked there will be a referee present  .

First 3 points of the seven we'll pick up between now and January 2nd.
