Royals to forfeit Burnley Match...

by Pridders » 08 Jan 2007 11:30

So what would be the implications if we done this? Can We forfeit the game and hand the forth round to Burnley?

It would save a lot of hassle and as Coppell does not want to progress in the FA Cup why waste everyone's time...

To give our fringe players a chance.

keep the first 11 on their feat.

Find new talent from our youngsters and fringe players.

Keep most our first 11 fit and injury free for the more important Preimership matches.

That's why we have a reserve team

Who said anything about forfeiting a game? Only LOLosers forfeit a game.

Its been said many times that the reserves dont bring much in the way of competion so the F.A is all they have.

The club will have to refund tickets.

We can field a weakened team and hope to lose... I think we did that last season but unfortunately our weakened team were still too good!

I think it's important that Adam Federici gets a first team start against a side that want to win with a stadium nearly full of fans.

Surprised you've not deleted such a silly thread, let alone commented on it.

I remember we withdrew from the Berks & Bucks Cup for the princely sum of £50. So why not the FA Cup?

The FA A Club failing to give satisfactory reason...

But Pridders just gave one...

Pridders It would save a lot of hassle and as Coppell does not want to progress in the FA Cup why waste everyone's time...

Lets not start on the lame excuses, Especially ones using the missus or kids! At least I didn't get soaked for nothing and can breeze in on Tuesday in the (hopefully) relatively dry conditions… Any way this is a stupid thread.. NEXT
