All told, that's a pretty evil draw for the Prem - there can only be a maximum of 10 Prem teams in R5.

Means the BBC will be jizzing all over the "romance of the cup" when one of the lower teams makes the quarter finals

As there can only be a maximum of 16 teams in R5 that's still a pretty large probable percentage.

Huntley & Palmer Would be carnage. When is the 4th round played?

Weekend of 27th Jan

£72 return on the train

06:19 from Reading arriving 12:27
18:34 from Newcastle arriving 00:41

A few drinks possibly

Alternatively, £3.99 each way plus £20 taxes = £27.98 flying from Stansted (whether return on Saturday night or Sunday morning). Except of course,

a) we may not beat Burnley and, if we do,
b) Newcastle may not beat Brum and, if they do
c) we won't know until Wednesday17th Jan at the earliest by which time the fares (train or flights) may well be significantly different.

It's the absolute maximum, and I'm sure there were more than 10 in R5 last season.

Involves actually getting to Stansted though.

and the fact that by the time you had driven to Stanstead, waited for the plane, flown & fcked about getting from the airport to the city centre you could have driven there in that amount of time anyway.

Now we're in the Premiership the FA Cup draw has lost it's appeal for me.

We've already played my favourites so it doesn't really matter.

Oh well, how times change.

I am more interested in the FA Cup now, am very disappointed with the games in the prem and the refs. Do not get me wrong it is great to be in the Prem but find most of the games boring in comparison with the blood and thunder of the CCC. All the hype and tripe, latest Moanrinho to be replaced by Hiddinck if true that would be the second best piece of news after Reading staying in the Prem and taking all those millions off Murdoch.

Never mind, there's always the Middlesbrough away game on the 24th Feb. Then again, it's a shithole. Still, I'm sure you'll be happy hunting for trees in Brighton.

Plus only seven away games left in the season after Everton on Sunday

Interesting draw all round I thought; IF we get past Burnley and IF Newcastle get past Birmingham I can see our game being televised as our League game up there was excellent.

As PP has pointed out, a max of 10 Prem league teams left - and thats if teams like Boro and Fulham get thru their replays first..... could be a chance for a lesser Prem team or a championship team making it thru this season.
