MOTM v The Arse

by higher » 03 Mar 2007 16:59

Tough game.Someones actually done the double over us!! Grrr . At least we had the Arse wasting time there at the end.
Anyone stand out for you?Who gets the nobbers gong?
Going for Leroy myself. He gave the Arsenal defence a lot to think about and annoyed Lehmann (and royal rother) no end!

Bikey for me, looked very solid apart for the pen

Gone for Leroy as well - but special mention to Johnny Oyster - we played much better once he came on.

Close behind would be Kits and Marcus.

Edit: Yep - BK also a close contender.

Ingi for me.

Murts and Hahneman a close joint second.

Great battling perfomance by everyone really but Ingi did good.

Bikey still makes me very nervous but well played even by him today regardless.

From the radio commentary, Ingimarsson gets it for me. Sounded like he produced a classy display, especially against the pace of Walcott on his side, then Aliadiere.

Marcus gets second spot - BBCRB kept saying that he was keeping Reading in the game.

Sounds like we "did ourselves proud", but could do with picking up a couple of points in the near future.

Not grumbling, just pointing out that points are more important that pride.

Hahnemann. Made a couple/a few important interventions!

I picked Murts for consistently being up to the job. Good day for Hahnemann and Ingimarsson too. Overall a bit disappointing, though. Our midfield was never at the races til Oster came on.

Lita motm - always caused them problems and might have nicked an equaliser at the end.

Marcus also did very well indeed with some vital saves. And, apart from the pen, the black Bobby Moore was excellent.

Difficult to choose between Bikey, Ingimarsson & Hahnemann.

Shame that both Sidwell and Little were well below par today. And Kitson was equally poor.

(Good to see people are still being blinded by Lita running around a lot and bouncing off defenders as if shot.)

Kitson was really bad today, couldn't understand what he got into him.

Hahneman did well, Centre backs were good against a wastefull arsenal front line, but from my hellish Arsenal season ticket holders seats, there was only one reading threat. My MOM - Leroy Lita

Didn't get any service from what I saw, and was playing deeper than Lita - ended up doing a lot of hard work taht wasn't easily obvious to everyone I think.

I like seeing that in a match we lost 2-1 our top three Men of the Match are in the back five.

Perhaps people thought that we could have lost by more than the odd goal without their intervention?...
