Thought he had a very solid game. v Portsmouth.

Inspires me with confidence. Much more so than Bikey, who still makes me nervous.

Duberry was probably our MOTM but thought Sol Campbell had a fantastic game for Portsmouth, some of his last ditch tackling in the 1st half was superb.

TBH there were eight good defenders on show. If anything, the most suspect was Johnson.

I was surprised we didn't press Stefanovic in the first half, he looked the most suspect of them all.

Doobs had a pretty good game, and looks to me like he will keep his place for the next game. Kanu is a handful and he kept tight to him all game.

Duberry was o.k. but Ivar was head and shoulders above the defenders today. Got Duberry out of a mess a few times, won everything in the air, last ditch tackles and put himself about.

I think Sir Steve brought him on to wind down the clock more than anything else. In the last few minutes the draw was looking like an OK outcome ...

Doobs had a decent game, but he wasn't the best. One or two bad kicks when he could have passed it/got it further. Also goes for random jogs up the pitch :? Still promising if Copps can get his head in the right gear, he made some very good challenges and interceptions. Ivar though, magnificent.

Yes I don't disagree. I was just pointing out that I thought Doobs was solid. We already know Ingi is a class act.

Was he the left back?

If so, he was absolutely shocking.

Michael Duberry, big presence at right centre-back, he did OK.

A defender who can be in two places at once is an enormous asset.

Yeah I noticed something strange...

How the hell is Coppell leading Manager of Month for March???
And how are Leroy, Shorey & Duberry in line for Player of Month?

I take it no-one except RFC fans vote on the FA site then

Much happier with Duberry starting than Bikey, any reason why he was left out other than Coppell prefering Doobs? I must admit I thought it a bit strange but perhaps Bikey picked up an injury in training or something. Much more composed on the ball and made some excellent tackles, shackled Kanu all match as well. He may struggle up against someone with pace but then what defender doesn't.

I must admit, I was hugely impressed with the Sol & Linvoy partnership. Covered for each other well and were solid in everything they did. Couldn't understand why Taylor was on the bench and not starting instead of Stefanovich

Bikey was not injured, Coppell said he preferred Duberry's greater experience and I think he made he right call.

Agree with others that Duberry had a good game and seemed to work well with Ivar. This looks like our centre back pairing for the rest of the season.
